Instant Transition support for Smart Animate

Hi!

I’ve been learning how to prototype using Figma and I couldn’t find a proper way to use Smart Animation with an Instant Transition for unmatched layers. The only workaround I could think of was using Instant Transition to navigate + an After delay Interaction which triggers the Smart Animation, but it requires a lot of extra frames and configuration.

I think it would be nice to have this feature in the future. If it’s currently supported, I apologize and greatly appreciate it if you can tell me how.

Here’s a playground I’ve made to demostrate it better:

Hi there,

Thanks for sharing your idea. As you mentioned, Smart Animate is reliant on Layer name and hierarchy, so I think your approach is one of the possible solutions! Here is the link of the article: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039818874-Smart-animate-layers-between-frames#h_d727ed2d-f496-41b7-8f1a-a03eb9133402.

Thanks again for sharing you idea!
