The company renews the Figma account on a yearly basis.
I paid for Professional, but the employee left the company after using it for about 3 months. Another new employee has joined the company, and I would like to ask if there is a way to remove the Professional privileges from the existing employee’s account and grant the privileges to the new employee so that they can continue to use the account.
Hi @kimkyeongwook69, Thank you for reaching out with your query.
If you are an admin, you can manage permissions for everyone on your team, which includes adjusting seat types for both departing and new employees.
Just a gentle reminder: your bill is based on how many people in the team have a paid seat in Figma design and FigJam.
It might be a good idea to start by reviewing the users that are currently being billed on your team. Here’s a quick guide on how to check that:
- Select the Admin Console next to your team name on the left side of the file browser
- Navigate to the Members tab to view a list of members invited to the team
- Set the Design role and FigJam role filters to Editors to display all billed users
If you have someone who has left the company, you can change their seat from “Editor” to “Viewer - restricted” for both Design and FigJam, which will exclude them from the billing.
If you then find that the number of editors on your team is fewer than the seats you have available, you can upgrade the new employee’s seat to “Editor”.
