How to export image x2

toshinori

I made 300x300 Frame. then export image x2 .
but image is 300x300 … i need 600x600…
how to make it ?

This is probably happening because exported image has twice the resolution of the original. Try viewing its metadata somewhere outside of Figma, you will see it’s 600x600, and when you enlarge it to 600x600 in Figma manually you will see that it doesn’t lose quality when viewed at 100%.

Can you show an example? If the frame you are exporting at 2x size is 300x300, it should be exported in 600x600.

I was confused by this too.

I believe it might be caused by the Retina display, which has 2pt per px display density. When you import the exported @2x image again, it identifies it matches the display density and sets the dimensions to 300x300 instead of 600x600, which is the image resolution and the value in metadata. I’ve tried the same in Sketch and it does the same thing, it might be operating system behaviour.
