Question

Figma doesn't read my local fonts. I keep on getting "Failed to parse response" on top of the font the I need

I can’t use the font and someone else from the team can’t also view it. The font automatically changes to Figma’s default font on their end. Hope someone can help, thanks!

Please note that I have the most updated Figma Font Installer. Really don’t know why this happens.

Hi there,

It looks strange! Could you try the troubleshooting below?

  • Close any Figma tabs you’re not using
  • Browser : Force-quit and open Figma in a new browser window.
  • Desktop App: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it. If the issue persists, try clearing the cache.

Also in some cases, fonts may need to be “re-validated”. You can either do this by uninstalling and re-installing the font itself, or you can simply validate the fonts on your machine.

I hope this helps but if the issue still persists, could you submit a bug report detailing the steps that led to this issue? You can do so by following the link:

Figma Learn - Help Center

Thanks,
Toku

I have exactly the same problem and I don’t know what to do. Have you found a solution since then?
