Here are a few things to keep in mind before you downgrade:
File limit: On the Starter plan, your team can have three FigJam files and three Figma design files with a maximum of three pages per design file. You can invite as many people as you want to view or edit these files. If you have more than the allowed number of files in your team when you downgrade, Figma will prevent you from being able to edit your files. To keep editing those files, move them to your drafts or another team. Learn more about moving files →
Project limit: On a Starter plan, your team will have one project. If your team has more than one project when you downgrade, Figma will lock your team and prevent you from editing your files. To keep editing, you’ll need to reorganize your files and projects so they are under those limits. Learn more about moving projects and moving files →
We will never delete files on your behalf, but if the files exceed the limits of the Starter plan when your Education plan expires, you won’t be able to edit those files until you move the remaining files to your drafts.
Hope this helps! Feel free to let me know if there’s anything else I can help with!
Figma isn’t ending the educational plan. Your EDU plan is ending for you. This is likely based on the graduation date or other verification info you provided when initially signing up.
If you’re still a student, you can also re-verify to stay on the EDU plan:
My brother(not part of any educational scheme) teaches online courses on vector and graphic design to young people with autism, would he qualify for the edu plan?
Hello, I work as a designer for a university and use Figma to design websites and applications for the university. Am I eligible to apply for the educational plan as an administrator?
