"Copy to Figma Slides" button missing? Where to find? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi folks!

We create a lot of presentations and usually design them on Figma, then export them as PDFs. Now, with the latest Figma Slides option, this opens up new ways of presenting and sharing presentations.

There is one issue I’ve encountered and need help with. There’s an option where you can select all the frames you want to export – then go to the “Actions” field and type “copy…” to get the option to select “Copy to Figma Slides.” This opens all your selected frames perfectly on Figma Slides.

However, sometimes the option to select “Copy to Figma Slides” in the “Actions” panel is not available. WHY?

Here with “copy to Figma slides”:

Here suddenly without “copy to Figma slides”:

Can anyone tell me where the hidden Copy to Figma Slides button is?

Thanks! :bouquet:

Hey @Serkan_Zararsiz, thanks for reaching out and sharing this! The “Copy to Figma Slides” option should appear whenever you’re working with Slide-sized frames in Figma Design, which might explain why it’s showing for some frames but not others.

To help troubleshoot further, can you please check if this works consistently with the Slide-sized frames?

If everything seems set up properly and the issue persists, let me know, I’d be happy to dig in further with you!

Thanks @Gayani_S for your prompt reply.

This is interesting. I assume 1080x1920 is a slide-sized format/frame. Let me share two screenshots with you. Both have the same format (1080x1920), but one of them allows me to copy to Figma slides while the other does not. And several other files with the same format also cannot be copied to Figma files.

It would be a huge help to get this feature working properly, as it would allow us to create better presentations! :raised_hands:

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this—this looks like an unexpected behaviour to me. Let me share this with the team internally to investigate what might be causing this inconsistency. I’ll get back to you as soon as I have more information.

In the meantime, if you notice any additional patterns or details that could help us pinpoint the issue, feel free to share them.

Appreciate your patience and understanding as we look into this!

Hey @Serkan_Zararsiz! Apologies for the delayed response and appreciate your patience. As promised I’ve raised this issue internally, and our team is actively investigating.

Would you be willing to share the file you’re working with? This will allow us to further investigate the differences between the frames and understand why the detection behaves inconsistently.

If possible, provide a direct link to the file here, and invite support-share@figma.com with “can edit” permission so we can look into this further? Note that users with @figma.com emails on your team do not count towards your billing.
