Connection error: -7

Hello. I have a problem with desktop app. Figma write me a messege like:
Connection error: -7.
Your computer may be offline or the Figma server may be experiencing problems.
Figma will automatically try to reconnect.”
But WEB app is working.
Whu have a similar problem like me?

Hi. In my case, support service of figma helped me with this problem.
Decision:

  1. Close the Figma desktop app
  2. Open the Start menu, and paste in this, followed by enter: %APPDATA%\Figma
  3. In the window that opens, delete the Desktop and DesktopProfile folders if they exist
  4. Launch the desktop app again

Does that deletes your data in the desktop app.

Generally that error indicates that something on your network is blocking access to Figma — this might be a VPN, proxy, firewall of your ISP or network admin.

Can you check and confirm if you see the same problem in any other browsers you have on your computer? Our supported browsers are Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.

Can you please confirm if the same issue occur if you try connecting to another network (e.g. mobile hotspot) or after temporarily disabling any VPN/Proxy/Firewall connections?
If it’s just happening on one network, you may need to adjust your proxy VPN or firewall settings as shown here: Adjust your network settings

Or, we also recommend reaching out to your IT Admins or ISP to check that:

  • Figma (*.figma.com) is added to any VPN/Proxy/Firewall or antivirus allow lists as described here:
  • Port 443 is unblocked

You may also want to try clearing your DNS cache, restarting your router and restarting your device.
