With the exposure of more open source library resources (iOS 17 for instance), a lot of users will be copying those libraries to use among teams. The process is apparently this:
- Copy the Community library into your Team/Project
- Use that copy as a shared library
I understand that copies will not show update notifications, when the Community library has changed. This makes sense. But is there any affordance for update notifications when the Community library has changed, so we know it’s time to grab a new copy?
I feel like this would be a huge win for Figma to solve. Maintain some link with the original Community file, so there’s some kind of message… “Hey, time to make a new copy!” etc.
