Hi @Anson_Hwang, Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide a bit more detail about your idea?

Are you suggesting that you would like to see an option for position (subscript and superscript) in “Type settings” panel when using design mode in Figma Slides?

Or are you having an issue where typing “o” and then “n” in a text layer causes the situation in the screenshot you provide?

If that’s the case, I’ve tested it on my end but couldn’t reproduce the issue, and it’s difficult to determine whether this is expected behavior or not. You might want to try different font to see the difference.

If you need assistance for this issue, I suggest reaching out to our support team directly here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001744374
When contacting, please include the following information for them to take a closer look:

  • Your Figma account email.
  • A recording of the issue that includes the entire window. - These videos are very helpful for us as they allow us to try and reproduce the issue with our own files, so showing all the steps needed to recreate the behavior is beneficial.

Please let us know if I overlooked anything.
Thanks agin for your input!

Hey, this is happening to me too @Junko3, on Figma slides.
I type N and then O, and it appears like Nº. If I delete it, it continues happening all the time.
I just bought my macbook pro so maybe is something happening with the detected checking and spelling or something.

I cannot fix it… still happening and I cannot copy/paste or write the word “NO” (I can do “no” in lowercase). It’s very annoying. And it’s not happening in the Design Files or FigmaJam. It’s happening to me only on Figma Slides.

Hi @celiadesigns — thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you’ve run into this as well! Definitely an odd one — especially that it’s only happening in Figma Slides. 🤔

I just tested this on my end (also using a MacBook Pro) and wasn’t able to reproduce the superscript behavior. Are you still seeing this happen?

If so, a few follow-up questions to help narrow things down:

  1. Is it happening in the web browser, desktop app, or both?
  2. If you’re using the desktop app, are you on the latest version (125.5.6)?
  3. If you’re using a web browser — what browser are you using, and does it have any extensions or plugins that might affect text formatting?
  4. Does the issue persist across different fonts, or only with one type?
  5. When pasting, does using Paste and Match Style change the behavior?

If the issue is still ongoing, I suggest having our Product Support team take a closer look at your file. When you have a moment, please reach out to them directly and include:

  • the link to this Forum thread for context
  • a screen recording of the issue (including left/right panels, if possible)
  • a link to the affected file
  • edit access for support-share@figma.com.

Let us know what you find — and thanks again for flagging this. 🙏🏻
