[Bug] Issue with Deleted Community Project After Moving Drafts to Team

Hi Figma Community,

I’m facing a significant issue after a recent update where drafts must now belong to a team. I moved all my drafts to a personal team, and now, a project I had published in the Figma Community has been deleted. I no longer have access to it, and it no longer appears on my community profile.

This project had thousands of duplicates, and it seems I’ve lost it completely. I do not wish to republish it; I want to recover it with all the comments and likes it had before.

Attached is a screenshot of what appears when I try to open an old notification for the project:

Could someone help me resolve this issue?

Thank you.

Hey there @OnlyRodas I’m taking a look at this now! Thanks for reporting

Hey @OnlyRodas I can see that the community file was unpublished but still looking into the details around this. Can you confirm that you’re able to access the underlying source file for this in the team that you moved this draft to?

Hi,

Yes, I have the source file in my drafts in a “Team”. Previously, it was in the regular drafts before this update.

Thank you.

Great thanks for confirming this! Can you also confirm that you didn’t manually unpublish this yourself?

I confirm that I did not manually unpublish the project at all.

Thanks! Alright we’re still looking into this but may need to wait until the rest of the team comes online. For now though you should be able to republish your file from the source file.

Thanks again for reporting!

Thank you! I appreciate your help.
Is there any possibility to republish the project with the likes and comments from the original intact?

Thanks again for your assistance!

Yup! You shouldn’t lose any of that information as long as you publish a new version using the same source file and to the same account.
