I’ve been using Figma since about 2018 and as such, have files that are a couple of years old. I really started getting into it around 2020-2021.
There’s a handful of files I’ve noticed from 2021 that are completely broken. These are for work from different companies so all have different styles, components, patterns etc.
The latest updates with the prototype preview, developer tools and tokens has broken various files of mine that are integral to my portfolio. They’re under NDA so typically when I show this work, I open the Figma file directly.
Any ideas as to what’s caused this? Is there any support I can have from Figma on this? I’ve been paying for Figma for a couple of years now and keep track of my portfolio via my personal account so to open these files like this is quite distressing!!
Hey @Emily_Stewart1 - I think the support team would need to help with this. There have been updates to Figma in between the time you originally created those designs, and they are likely playing a role in what’s causing these changes in them.
I understand you may not be able to share the files directly because of the NDAs, but if there’s any work you’ve seen this on that you can share, it would be super useful.
If that’s possible, please do the following:
Share edit access to any files you can with support-share@figma.com (you won’t be charged for sharing edit access to this alias).
