Border variables only on custom sides, not to whole object

In today’s fun with Figma…

Applying the variable for the border thickness of an accordion.

Cannot apply a border variable to the stroke. Even when you try to manually do it and change to a variable, no.

About halfway through this video, you see where I manually add a border, THEN change to the custom setting. Now I can apply the border thickness variant to individual sides.

Never to the whole border. But yes to individual sides.

Oh nice. IF you apply the border as custom to all sides using the variable…when you change the stroke back to ALL…then it shows that a variable is applied as the border thickness. The variable can be changed from that point. So not as an integer…but if you trick it in to being a variable.
