I’m working from an Antd component library. Recently, the components stopped showing overrides. Instead, it shows ‘component documentation”. I’ve tried clearing the cache and restarting. I’ve reverted the component library to 3 months ago (when the problem didn’t exist). Not sure what else I can do.
So i have many many whiteboards in a project, but I want to find boards that have been created by a certain person and understand board ownership. I can’t understand how to identify this, especially if I import these from another platform and invite users, board names are overlapped and there is no way to identify these board owners? How do you help identify board ownership and those it relates to?
Hi all, I'm looking for an experienced Figma-to-code expert to form an equity partnership with to launch my app idea/design, which is Detoxer.app - an AI-powered addiction recovery and habit transformation app (porn, alcohol, weed, cigs, gambling, etc). It helps users overcome addictions and toxic habits by shifting their focus toward goal-setting, self-improvement, and positive habits. I have a Figma design that has ~90% of the UI completed with proper Figma tagging (which was created a Figma design expert) but I'm new to both Figma and app dev, so getting this design to be production-ready on my own would take longer than I want to wait (and we all know success loves speed!) Therefore, the obvious fastest path to market is to partner with an expert for the tech side while I handle the website, marketing, partnerships, etc. By partnering with with an expert, I estimate the MVP could be ready to launch in around a week or so. Please reply below if you have the skills and interest in su
This may be a dumb question… I uploaded an avatar to my account to replace the default first name initial avatar. However after a few days, I want to reset the avatar to the initial version rather than the image based one I uploaded. But it seems like there’s no way to do through the Account settings. Pressing on the avatar itself or “Edit” will simply prompt for a new image. Can anyone confirm this is the case?
Is there a way to replace the word Secondary with Primary in layers I select?
Hi all! I searched Figma forums all over for an answer but couldn’t find one. The issue I’m having is with icons becoming distorted when using instance swap in a nested component. Here’s the context: I am working on a design system that utilizes 4 different icon sizes that are all square (14x14px, 24x24px, and so on). We are using Font Awesome icons, and the vectors of these icons vary in size, meaning that two icons with the same height may vary in width. My ideal vision is that we make the icon frame sizes components, then place the icons (also components) inside of the square frame and set them to scale. This is so that if we ever decide to do a global icon resize (say we decide 14x14 is to small and want to move to 16x16) that we can do that on the master component level and avoid manually updating all the affected components. However, the issue I am having is that when I swap one icon for another in a child component, rather than maintaining its proportions, it takes on the size o
I have been trying to find an effective way to find/replace text in bulk for Figma layer names. I am creating variants and need to change a group of layers label to make them unique. For example: theme=dark, icon=true I would like to find all layers where “icon=true” and replace the layer name text with “icon=false”. To be more specific make it so only the layers selected are affects and allow me to choose. Another feature would to be able to bulk insert/remove text into the layer titles. The built in Find/Replace in Figma fails to find every layer in the file and all the plugins I have tried are not adequate. I cannot believe I am the only person needing to do this.
I have a bunch of icon components, all locked at 24x24 aspect ratio (1:1). I am trying to create an easy-to-use icon component, and one option I was trying to make involved using the lock aspect ratio feature recently released, and creating ‘icon size’ variables. This would allow our designers to be able to replace icons easily in their files while also not wrapping the icon in a variant set of icon wrappers at different sizes. There's other reasons to try it this way, as it's the least destructive to the files that already contain instances of icons dropped in them already, but we don’t need to go into that. My issue starts be applying my new icon size variable to the H or W of the icon components. I set the lock aspect ratio to on, and give the H or W (I can only do one, which makes sense I guess) the correct sized variable in the master component. The ‘vector’ inside (which is the glyph) is set to scale-scale. When I place an instance of that icon, I can apply a new size from my ico
While our teams and the amount of projects grow, it becomes harder to find and identify the right files on the search page. I would like to suggest to include the team name and project name in the meta data of the search results. Similar to a bread crumb in google search results.
Another nice addition would be to connect your FigJam files with related Figma files. So as not to rely on file naming. Creating links between the two would allow for easier navigation and discovery from others in the team.
Hi guys! I’m looking to buy a new laptop because my Macbook Air Intel has just not been able to run Figma efficiently. Figma is often laggy, especially when I am working while sharing my screen, and I am looking to buy a new device. What are your thoughts? Is the Pro M4 chip worth it? Will I see significance performance on Figma?
These are some of the new Fig Jam default colors. I know there are ways to customize the palette but this is wild. Why did you guys lighten the green and blue? What’s up with this cyan? In theory these colors should look okay together but they do not.
Hi everyone! Everytime I push the play button to check my prorotype (or open the link in a browser), there are those automatic left/right arrows and counter on the bottom. I don’t need it, it just confuses the user. My project is not a presentation, it’s like a website, there’s no specific logical order between the pages. All my pages are accessible by the interactions I’ve created – I would like the user to use only my buttons. Whether I set the home page as the flow starting point or not, the pager is still there. How can I avoid it? Thank you!
The instance swap component of the variant, which allows the property to be automatically changed through a variable, always resets when the variable mode is changed. Change text(B) to C which is “Base Component 2” inside“Problem Component” Select “Problem Occurs” section, And change “Variant” mode to “Mode 2” All layer name of “Problem Component” children has been reseted And override has been reseted.
