+10 From everyone at my office.
Why is an Archive tag or tab not standard?
After years of working in figma, many projects accumulate that cannot be deleted.
We cannot remove them completely.
But we’re constantly evolving, coming up with new ways to organize projects, new thumbnails for project files, for easier navigation, and keeping all projects up to date is becoming more and more difficult.
At the organizational level, figma has good filters, adding a point to “show archive” would be great.
Then the projects on which we are no longer working can be entered into the archive and they will not change the impression of the general system of covers and projects
thank you
I 100% agree with the need for this feature - I have files that I don’t want to delete, on the off chance that something is needed later - but which I don’t need to be looking at. This seems like a no-brainer.
Thank you all for the feedback!
We’ll pass this onto our team for consideration.
+1 for this too! Being new to Figma, I have been on the hunt on the best way to archive projects and I am shocked that nothing exists like this yet. It seems like it should be a given!
Yes this is very important for us.
Yes!! It really helps.
100% agree with everyone’s comments here. Currently going through an exercise of organizing the teams projects and having the ability to archive projects and also have tags would be fantastic.
This is definitely something we need. All companies I have worked for that use Figma struggle with the archiving process.
