Hello everyone. When I work with the Figma desktop app on Mac, the red alignment lines do not show. I don’t know why, because they only show in the Figma web app. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks in advance!
Today I noticed that copy / paste of properties does not seem to work properly anymore for me. Whenever I try to Option-CMD-C stroke properties from a vector, it shows no effect on the other vector item after pasting it using Option-CMD-V. However it works with closed paths sometimes and fills are no problem at all. Works: Fills Rectangle to rectangle strokes Rectangle to ellipse strokes Rectangle to line Does not work anymore: Ellipse to ellipse strokes (???) Line to line Vector to vector This is blasting my workflow right now. Did anyone have the same experience?
Whatever I try, I can’t seem to work with .mov or .webm videos with transparent background on Figma. Whenever I upload them, I get a black background. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a workaround for this?
Hi Figma team, I often organize my pages using symbols (like ↳) and emojis (✅, 📝) to simulate hierarchy and visually label sections (screenshot attached). While this workaround works, it’s too manual and inconsistent—especially for large files with multiple collaborators. Two things that would help: 1. Page Indentation / Nesting – Native indentation or grouping would make structuring pages much easier and cleaner. 2. Default Icon Slot – Instead of using emojis in titles, having a dedicated icon or label slot for pages would keep things tidy and readable. The ability to collapse page groups would save a lot of scrolling back and forth. 3. Headline Layer – It would be great to have a non-clickable “headline” or section divider in the Pages panel without having to create a blank page just for labeling. This would really improve project organization and save a lot of manual effort. Thanks for considering!
I’d like to move every in the red square down to make room for another section. What’s the best way to do that? I’m completely new to Figma, no experience.
This might be because I have a potato laptop, but I’m having a problem with this because I’ve done everything to solve this issue (resizing my window, using the options in the prototype, etc.) but it’s still happens. Whenever I go to the prototype, it starts to flicker and switches to my desired size. However, I noticed that when I don’t have a component on the frame, it’s back to normal. Is there anything I can do that I haven’t done before that could help me?
Hello, I’m having this issue for quite some time now. I noticed that it started happening since the last update. Whenever I open Figma none of my images from any project load. And I try to wait it out and they don’t load, i’ve tried to re-install Figma and nothing changed. I thought it was maybe a internet connection, it’s not, since i’ve started to use Ethernet and have good internet now. It’s surely a problem with Figma itself. And it’s not only on the app, it’s also online where I enter and can’t see anything from any project. Even on projects I can’t see the thumbnail for projects because they don’t load. I don’t know what it could be. Please help if you know what I can do. In the 2º photo you can see that those posts in specific had a photo for a background and other elements using photos and none of them are showing.
Hi there, I have a problem. When I share a presentation link of Figma Slide, people can’t open it because they have a 404 error or the page doesn’t load… It’s very embarrassing because we sent this link to a lot of prospects… And when I try on my own, it works only in private navigation. But I can’t tell a client to try it on private navigation, it’s not profesional. Do you have any solution ? Thanks!

I’m trying to create an icon component with an indicator (like a dot or badge), but I want to avoid making separate variants for each icon just to show or hide the indicator. Ideally, I’m looking for a simple, reusable setup — maybe using a frame or wrapper. One more thing: when I add the icon (with a color set via a variable) into another component, the color doesn’t inherit as expected — it keeps the original value instead of adapting to the parent context. For context: I’m using icons from a shared library. All icons follow a consistent structure — same layer naming and default color (not linked to any style). Colors are assigned through design tokens at the component level, not directly within the icons themselves. Has anyone found a clean solution for this kind of setup?
