Hi @Kim_Kreiser, Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this!
At the moment, we need a video file to use a video in a prototype, so I can see how this could really benefit other members of our community as well.
We use votes to understand what our community is most interested in, helping us prioritize our actions. If other members of our community would like to see this feature, please vote it up and share your use case too!
Your input is truly valuable and we really appreciate it.
Thanks again!
Hi Junko3! Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, we have been using the video file embedding, but its quite cumbersome to first download a video from youtube and then embed it into Figma. Also its then ONLY playable in the tiny preview window OR in presenter mode…
So we (and many fellow designers) would love to have the possibilty to embed actual playable vimeo/youtube links (like in FigJam) and THEN be able to present those in playback view 😉
Hope you understand the need! 😃
@Junko3 As a developer of Youtube and Vimeo widget I would suggest a universal solution to this, let Figma allow widgets to work in presentation mode
Yes that would indeed be great, too! 🙂 thanks for the support and developing awesome widgets 🙂
