When I share my screen - I don’t want my customers see the NDA projects and teams I work with. Here’s my solution:

Hey @Tim_Roman - wanted to get more info on your thoughts here.

Is there a particular reason you are sharing your file browser window? Is it because you’re wanting to share the full contents of what files are in a project (or projects in a specific team) when sharing, and you’d want the left panel blurred or hide-able?

Hey @ksn . I have reasons to share my file browser every day on daily stand-ups, or presenting my workflow to new leads, and since some projects I work with are under NDA - I want to have a way to keep privacy. Ability to check project/file/team as “private”, or “NDA” and blur it during screenshare session is essential francly speaking

Gotcha - thank you for clarifying and providing scenarios. One thing I noticed from your screenshot is that it looks like you’re in the ‘starred’ section of the file viewer.

Are you able to see an arrow when you hover over that section? You should be able to then close up that list so things aren’t viewable from there.

Strictly speaking about favorite/starred projects and files: you also can opt to not list them in any sections in that panel. See screenshot:

I know this is likely not covering all of your specific needs, but I wanted to highlight those things in case it was helpful. I’m also making sure to highlight your feedback internally. If you have any comments on what does/doesn’t work well, drop them here anytime.

In the interim, instead of sharing your entire file browser what about creating a file with thumbnails that link to the projects you frequently discuss on your calls? That way you don’t need to show any NDA content and can provide a more curated experience for your viewers as well.

It’s a good point, but designers have to perform these actions instead of having fast & furious solutions from Figma)
