I would love more spelling functionality. Currently, I need to select text to see spelling mistakes. It would be great if Figma would notify me of spelling errors by a search or a little pop up/count.

Hey @Mariana3, thanks for the feedback!

Just to be sure our team fully understands your request, we already have a spell check feature.

You’re asking to give misspelled words more visibility through a notification or pop-up. Is that correct?

Yes correct, it would be great to highlight misspelled words without having to select each layer.

Thanks for confirming, @Mariana3!

We’ll pass this onto the team for future consideration.

I completely agree with this. As someone who works quickly and often can miss minor spelling mistakes because of disabilities such as dyslexia, it would be incredibly helpful to have some kind of callout on my mockups if there is a spelling mistake within my text. I often copy and paste text into Figma and will easily miss the red underline on words if I click outside of the text field too soon after pasting. Even if it was an optional feature it would save me an incredible amount of time. I wouldn’t have to second guess my work or have things sent back to me from my product team because the copy is wrong.

The current spell check is quite inconsistent for me… or maybe just slow to load. Would love a more traditional spell check!

Agreed that the currently implemented spell-check is not effective, particularly within large, complex workspaces. The ability to see typos even in the prototype mode (especially a setting like we have for hotspots and sidebar visibility) would help elevate mistakes in a way that can help mitigate wasted time when handing files off for review or development. The ability to provide custom dictionary inputs would also be hugely helpful as our products often have specific trademarked names that would add useless noise to the quality review process.

Yep! it’s the running joke on my team that I just don’t see the misspellings. It was WAY worse before they added the red underline spell check (huge quality of life improvement there) but there are quite a few that still get by. Especially so since I can’t see the red underlines when the text isn’t highlighted. I like the idea of having a misspelling count shown on command or a way of jumping from one misspelling to the next.

Awesome spelling example- the red underline should probably always be shown.
