Hello Figma Product Team! 👋 I’m writing to propose a change to the Starter plan:please make “Unlimited files and projects” available to all users, not only those on Professional and above. Here’s why this matters: Projects act like folders. The ability to organize design files into Projects is a basic need—similar to creating folders on a computer. Yet in the Starter plan, users are limited to just one project (with up to 3 editable files) and everything else is held in “Drafts.” This makes management chaotic and files hard to find and classify. Unsurprisingly, many users are frustrated. For example, one Redditor observed: “Drafts are unlimited (for now) so long as they’re on a team… but it’s sleazy, it’s scummy, it’s dark UX, it’s crappy upselling” (reddit.com, jitter.video, reddit.com) Another shared: “You are limited to 4 projects, and 3 pages per project… This is a major rug pull imo. A terrible change for people who work on many projects without compensation” (reddit.com)
Is there a way to turn a navigation bar into a sticky header?
Message:Hi Adobe team,I would like to suggest a feature enhancement for Illustrator's selection behavior. Currently, Illustrator uses direction-based drag selection:Left to right drag selects only objects fully enclosed (Contain).Right to left drag selects any object touched (Touch). While this is useful once you know it, it can be unintuitive for new users or when switching between other design tools (like Figma or CAD software) which use consistent selection behavior.🆕 Feature Suggestion: Please consider adding a Selection Mode toggle in Preferences or the top toolbar:Touch (Partial Overlap): Select objects partially within the selection box.Contain (Full Overlap): Select only objects completely inside the selection box.
How to copy and paste text from Word documents has changed. I’m having trouble pasting into text boxes in particular. When I copy and paste text from Word it appears as an image in Figma. I have to paste as an image using CMD+V then repaste with CMD+SHIFT+V for the text to paste into a box. Has the way you copy and paste changed in Figma recently? It seems this little difference is adding quite a lot of time to my workflow at the moment.
Hi all, just proposing to move the contextual text editor out of the way in Figjam table. problem:click on one cell in the column to update click on the next cell to keep enter another entry for the column see the menu bar is kinda blocking the next row image: request: move the toolbox out of the way of the next row move to the top have a ping’ed panel nudge it further from the current cursor just some ideas to kickstart, no preference on any solutions above - if you have better solutions, feel free to explore.
First, this feature is fantastic—it unlocks much cleaner output in Dev Mode and makes grid-like layout in design mode much simpler. But I think there’s a chance to push it even closer to parity with real CSS Grid and better support for table-like UI.Here are two suggestions: Dynamic sizing for columns and rowsCurrently, all columns in Grid Auto Layout are either equally sized or fixed. It would be amazing to support dynamic sizing more like CSS Grid’s fr units. Specifically: Support relative sizing (like fr units) that automatically divides leftover space among columns. Allow setting min/max constraints on columns and rows (similar to minmax() in CSS grid). Support percentage-based column sizing as an alternative to fixed pixels or even fractions. Why?Many real-world responsive designs need columns that flex but don’t shrink below a certain width. Supporting this would let us prototype and hand off responsive grid layouts with far less developer guesswork. *This doesn’t just allow
Hey Team,So far loving Figma Make. I have been making plenty personal tools and utilizing them. Even though the complete code gets rewritten when I am trying to add new features or make any updates, its still manageable because I am the only user. But now I am looking at the possibility of creating few apps for my friends or expand the existing ones to accomodate foreign users. If I had the ability to branch my whole code or app, publish the primary one and try out changes or new features in a branched version of the app, it would make everything so easy. That way I can try various new things without worrying if doing anything will break my current build and effect all the users.Kindly add git like branching for Figma Make Apps
The Annotation and Comment tools have their own cursors, but the Measure tool is the same as the default cursor (Move tool).I cannot count how many times I was confused and frustrated why I couldn’t move or edit an element, only to find out I was still using the Measure tool instead of the Move tool. Please give the Measure tool its own unique cursor!
Sometimes you need to be explicit when calling out a measurement where two elements are touching each other. The current dev mode measure tool does not allow you to explicitly measure a distance of 0. This is a required measurement for proper dev handoff and keeps us from using this feature.
After using the make-layer feature in Figma sites, I have created a component that I would like to use within my DS-kit. The fact is this component do not appear when searching for it on the library.E.g., I have a layout component for a responsive grid. This layout have placeholders inside as it’s generic and it must be flexible so we can add in it any other component (images if we want to create a gallery, cards if we aim for a summary section, etc)When using layer-make to build smart components those SHOULD be findable in our DS-gallery so we can set properties ‘swap instance’ and use those inside generic-placeholders’ ones.
Polygons and stars are currently drawn off-centre: there’s noticeable extra whitespace at the bottom of the frame while the top edge almost touches the bounding box. When we depend on precise alignment, auto-layout, design tokens, or plugin-driven positioning this uneven padding forces messy work-arounds.Flattening the shape fixes the offset, but that breaks scalability and makes later edits harder. A small change would solve it: Draw polygons and stars truly centered within their frames or Expose a simple “internal padding” control so we can zero-out that bottom margin. Either option would make these shapes far more dependable for automated and component-based workflows.
I use the same page color for all of my projects. For consistency, it would be great to be able to just add the color with a variable and not have change the color for each new project.
I’d love to suggest a small but potentially powerful feature:a local clipboard panel inside the canvas.Think of it as a lightweight, always-visible spot where I can quickly drag elements I create during a session and reuse them throughout the file — like a mini asset shelf, but temporary and personal.🎯 Use case:While working on complex screens, I often create utility elements (buttons, arrows, highlights, etc.) that I need to reuse across multiple frames. Right now I either copy-paste from frame to frame or scroll back and forth. With a built-in clipboard panel, I could drop those elements in one place and simply drag them out when needed. That would seriously reduce navigation time and context switching — especially on large-scale design systems or messy exploratory files.Attaching a quick visual mockup of the idea for clarity.Would love to hear what you think!
I’m migrating from adobe to figma for all my design stuff and I thought I loved figma until I tried to redesign one of my clients logos and I found out there are isn’t glyphs panel for your fonts. I know there is a plugin that has built in glyphs but they aren’t useful for making logos. I feel like this is a huge deal breaker for me because I can’t use fonts how they were intended. After doing research there are many others who want this to be a feature from years back and it definitely got overlooked by the Figma Devs. I would really like to be able to use figma because I like the features and UI of the software. but if I can’t make the designs I want in it there is no point of even using it. I understand it’s mainly for making vectors and web design but so many graphic designers use it everday! This is my petition for adding this feature into figma, if you agree reply to this post please so can make a difference
I’m frustrated with the forced centering in the bounding box of images when they are placed.Obviously, for a responsive design, the image is going to be seen vertically & horizontally at the same time depending on the device. This has been super annoying because I’d expect to have an anchoring/alignment positioning for the image so that I can keep the focus where I want it to be for each of its uses. I have all these useless editing options, but no “Top/Bottom Left”, “Top/Bottom Right”, “Top/Bottom Center” options. Just the default “Centered” which cuts off peoples faces or eliminates the focal point on anything that’s not dead center. PLEASE ADD THIS.
Would love the option to be able add my own AI API Key or be able to incorporate Claude AI features in the Figma Make prototypes. For example, to generate text.
Could you make the height of the each content HUG (like following the largest size) instead of FIX? I'm so frustrated counting the fix height everytime I used this feature
I would love for there to be a new mode, aside from Design and FigJam for a proper Diagramming tool, similar to Draw.io but better and within a single software. Currently I use Draw.io for UI designs, and Draw.io for UML/Design Diagrams. These become very complex, so do not suggest we use FigJam which in comparison to Draw.io, is a child’s toy. Would love to see what Figma cooks up for this sort of tool, as I really like your design ethos in general. Draw.io has a number of issues which I’m sure you could resolve.
I wanted to check if whether Figma is planning to launch an official MCP server designed for use with Claude—similar to the existing one available with CursorThanks
Hey ! I’d like to know if there is any chance to have a vertical marquee effect on Figma Site in the next weeks ? Well, great to have the two horizontal options, but our sites need rythm with variety of directions !
Context and ProblemFigma's current Instance Swap Override is a useful feature for swapping singular instances within a component. However, it becomes cumbersome and time-consuming when applied to more complex design patterns, such as:Managing dynamic content for cards, sidebars, and templates. Creating unique combinations of content within reusable components.Currently, designers must create a new component for each unique content combination, which leads to bloated libraries, repetitive work, and a loss of efficiency. This approach also lacks flexibility for managing dynamic layouts, which are more naturally represented in code through structures like parent-child relationships in HTML or Children props in React.Proposed Feature: Component "Child" or "Slot" OverrideIntroduce a new override type, referred to as "Child" or "Slot," allowing component creators to define designated areas within a component where users can **drag and drop any content**. This feature would streamline the wor
I love that with the add-on I can better integrate figma designs to google workspace. It woul be awesome if the chip conversion would also work for google sheets currently its just a link, even if the add-on is installed. I would love to have it like in google docs:
In my project, a primary color variable needs to be used with different opacity levels to represent various states. Unfortunately, variables that reference the primary color variable cannot have their opacity adjusted individually unless the alias is detached first. This significantly affects color consistency across the project. I hope a separate opacity setting can be added.
To add an out animation for an object in Figma slides, I have to create a new slide. Plus, let me trigger the object animation after I change my slide. I don’t want to double-click if I have both a slide transition and an object animation.
Is it possible to change the units on the ruler without a plugin? If so would love to learn how! Trying to make a research poster on Figma, and finding it difficult to confirm that the scale is correct in inches.
