When you open a new slide deck you are met with a modal that suggests templates ( layouts ) after choosing design. In this view, because of the ( + ) roll over i thought i was able to pick and choose differend template slides for the skeleton i new i had to go through. So:I now i need a headlineand then a slide with a headline and 4 sub categoriesand then a slide with two 50/50 split columns and then a slide with 5 columns and then a headline slide and then and then and then...i know this before i open my slide deck - so let me prepolulate my slide deck with templates
Buzz bulk upload is awesome! 😍 It would be great if we could apply a CVS variables to frames names and sizes. It would save a lot of time while doing mass content production for social ads. We’ve started experimenting with using Buzz for ad banner production. For a single ad test we might do 50 pieces of unique content across 5 different frame sizes. bulk upload is looking like a promising tool to make our lives a lot easier (for designers and non-designers in the team) and being able to uploaded CVS variables to frame names and sizes would save us even more time!

Is there a way to go from a Figma Make page to a figma file? I actually really like the UI that Figma Make created, but want to make faster tweaks in Figma design. Curious if anyone else has this use case.
Brief description of the problem: I don't use all the fonts that figma has by default, so searching among the fonts becomes a torment, if you are looking for a font, going through all the options without having a specific idea or a specific font name, it takes too long. Figma already has a suitable logic to solve this problem. You already have a dropdown menu where you can select font groups (All fonts, In this file , Google Font 8/24 Update (????) and etc.). Add functionality to create your own font groups where you can add the fonts you want and name the category. For example (UI Fonts, Sci FI fonts, Handmade etc.). This would make it very easy to interact with the font library.
I should be able to export multiple frames into a single PDF by selecting all of them. Please implement this feature!
In Sketch, you can simply hold ALT and the selection tool will only select items that are fully enclosed by it. Super useful! You can also do a deep selection, to only select items that are fully enclosed inside a group, by holding ALT and COMMAND. AFAIK Figma doesn’t support this? Would be appreciated if it would be implemented...
Split access controls for developers and viewers, they should be separate roles. Use case - I want to share a file with an external partner to review a design, however I don’t want them to be able to copy or export the file, although I wouldn’t mind if they shared it with their colleagues. However I also want my developers to still be able to export assets from this file when it’s time for handoff. Currently all these settings are grouped under one setting; “Allow viewers to copy, share, and export from this file”. A better solution would be to split out each action e.g. copy, share and export and also be able to change these access controls per role (developer and viewer): This needs to be implemented before developers become paid seats, at the moment they just have the same permissions as viewers.
I added a prototype in Slides that was of a mobile app flow. I forgot to change the prototype in Figma to set a device (Ex: iPhone 14) so I went into the Figma design file and set the device. Then when I went back into Slides it still showed the old prototype embedded with no device. I didn’t see a way to refresh or update the prototype. The workaround I found was to delete the prototype and try adding it to slides again. That worked but it would be better to have it automatically update or a button to reload it.
When collaborating remotely in Figma, it would be extremely helpful to have a built-in chat feature. This would allow us to communicate directly within the design workspace, rather than 1) adding temporary text fields or 2) switching to Slack, Teams, or another external channel. So far, we’ve mostly been using the first method, which is far from ideal.
Hello!I am part of a team working on a gigantic Ui-Library serving multiple brands and devices (thank you, variables) all within big master-components with a lot variants. And of course our file got very full and complex very fast. We try our best to keep it clustered and everything visualized nicely, but as a user of the library, its just awful to browse. (Zooming out > panning > zooming in > switching pages > landing somewhere close up bc I visited earlier..) ugh. My feature request is to give us a new way for handing of library components! No, the lib view/selection dialog in the other files is just working If one exactly knows what to look out for..→ I am more thinking of something like the Material Design website. A place where components are organized wiki-like, have a lot of descriptive things going on (do’s, donts’, motion..) and are sometimes interactable. Of course I can take-away the component (or put it into a “cart” to continue browsing for now..)→ In addition t
I am a web designer and there is no plan that covers all my needs except for the complete one with 7 programs, of which I would only use 3. You should create customizable plans that allow users to choose which modules to subscribe to. I don't see why I should spend 16 euro a month on 7 modules and only use 3. Thank you.
When the Figma Make is doing its code rebuild following a prompt I make, would be great to have a tab notification at the top to indicate it's completed. The reason being that I may have gone to do something in another Figma tab whilst waiting for MAKE to finish it's code changes.
In my web browser (both Chrome and Edge) I can easily/quickly switch between tabs thanks to the keyboard shorcut option + command + left/right arrow. This is an “interactin pattern” they also use in e.g. Figma. (The exact same key combination.)Personally I would really appreciate to have this keyboard shortcut in Miro too, so that I can more easily / faster switch beteen the different Miro boards that I have open.
I’m working on swapping the library for a large design file. The process uses so much memory that I can’t swap all components at once. I have to manually pick which components to swap. However, when I open the swap library modal, every component is already selected by default. This means I have to uncheck everything before I can select only the components I want.So how about:Select all option for swap library Optimize swapping library so that it won’t crash in the middle of the process. I don’t mind waiting for 30 minutes.Thanks.
Hello, I’m trying to take my AI Make design and export so that I can add code to create functionality. How can this be accomplished? Any plugins?
Adobe Illustrator has this very nice feature where you can tell Illustrator that you want to focus on editing a specific group of objects. Once you are in ‘isolation mode,’ other objects in the canvas are dimmed, and you will only be able to select and modify objects at that level and below. For example, when you were in isolation mode, you could drag the selection marque over a set of objects and you wouldn’t accidentally select objects from other groups (e.g. using Command + drag in Figma will select items in other groups). This is SO convenient, and it’s the biggest thing I miss from switching to Figma. I would love to see a feature implemented in Figma that copies this Illustrator functionality — it is easily my number one feature request. A quick video showing isolation mode: More information: https://tutsweet.net/illustrator/understanding-isolation-mode-in-adobe-illustrator
I’d love to see Figma Make include the ability to download essential build configuration files—such as package.json, tsconfig.json, vite.config.js, and others—when exporting code. This feature would greatly simplify the process of running projects locally by providing the full environment setup required for development. It would enable users to clone or open the exported code directly in their preferred local editor and begin testing or customizing right away, without needing to recreate the project setup from scratch. This would especially benefit developers who want to iterate quickly on prototypes or integrate Figma-generated code into larger applications. Thanks for considering!
I want to suggest a feature. You developed a new hidden panel option, but it’s actually annoying that I can’t hide the Design and Prototype panel when selecting an object. When I’m trying to drag and move elements, I don’t always need that panel — I only use it occasionally to make changes to the object. I’d like to be able to drag freely inside my workspace, especially since my laptop screen is small and the panel takes up a lot of space.
It would be nice to have a video player that is also available for user that have no edit permissions on a FigJam. Now it’s not possible to pause/play while not editor.
It seems like Figma Make can import a library but only takes the default variable mode. Is there a way to import using different variable mode or change after importing?
I’d like to be able to export a page from Figma to PDF. So far I see this works quite well in FigJam (you can either export all as one file or individual selected section, but Figma does not support exporting section, only frames can be exported. 😦 frowning: User story: As a teacher, I want my students to up-load their designs to our grading platform (Gradewok), so I can grade and archive their work. PDF works great for this because it can be viewed in Gradework. A local copy does not work well because that means I have to download the files and open them in Figma again. Making the grading proces way to time consuming. As a teacher I want my students to be able to easily export their work from Figma So I don’t have to guide them through a multi-step process, knowing that students are likely to delay their export to the last minute and will be in a time crunch when exporting (and upload) for their work, the current way of exporting is not sufficiently supporting this.
The ProblemWhen working on long artboards, particularly for mobile designs or landing pages, selecting the entire artboard is inefficient. If I am scrolled to the bottom of the page, I have to scroll all the way back to the top just to click the artboard's name/title. This breaks the design workflow for a very common action. Proposed SolutionAllow a user to select an artboard from any point within its boundaries. A possible implementation could be: When the user hovers over an empty area of an artboard, its name (e.g., "iPhone 14 Pro - 1") appears as a clickable tooltip or overlay. Clicking this name would select the entire artboard frame. This provides a quick selection method without interfering with selecting other layers, as it would only appear over the artboard's empty background. BenefitThis feature would significantly speed up workflow and reduce unnecessary scrolling, making the design process smoother for anyone working with long-format content.

Please include 3:1 arrow end terminations. 1:1 ratio arrows look goofy. On the left is what is currently available with Figma. On the right is a moc up of what I’m asking for.
