Dear Figma Team,
I am working on a prototype for a complex financial product.
As I add new features, bells and whistles etc. the prototype rapidly expands beyond MVP scope, into v1/v2/v3 + product iterations.
So far, 80 individual version changes.
As far as I can see, there is no neat way to create a branch off of a ‘master’ prototype that would allow me to break down an end to end prototype into MVP and future iterations of the product/ feature set.
This would be very handy to showcase to stakeholders (business, product, tech) how the product would evolve and validate with users what are the most essential needs (MVP) versus nice-to-haves.
If I duplicate the whole file and strip out what I have build back down to an MVP by rolling back to the earlier versions, those files are not part of a single prototype evolution. And if I roll back to e.g. version 10 out of 80 within the prototype, then I would change the file itself and have to keep going back and forth (and to precisely the right version within 80+ individual changes) which wouldn’t work.
Unless, there was a way to add key points that aggregate a number of individual version changes into whatever you choose to label that save point as, e.g. MVP, v1, v2, v3...
