Hi there! You can use our guide to the canvas or frame, please check our help center article here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040449713-Add-guides-to-the-canvas-or-frames

In order to use guides, you will first need to enable rulers on the canvas.

  1. Click on to open the main menu.
  2. Go to View > Rulers.
You can also enable rulers by using the keyboard shortcut Shift + R, or by using the quick actions bar (https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040328653-Use-shortcuts-and-quick-actions#Quick_actions)

Hope this helps!

That’s actually a really thoughtful suggestion. Diagonal rulers could make a big difference for designers who work with angled layouts, isometric elements, or perspective-based compositions. Right now, most of us rely on custom guides or external plugins to achieve accurate diagonal alignment, which isn’t always efficient.

Having a native diagonal ruler tool in Figma could streamline that process — especially for product mockups or UI designs that use depth and geometry. Even a simple toggle to rotate rulers by a specific degree could save a lot of time for teams working on complex visual structures. It’s definitely a feature worth exploring further.
