Name speaks for itself, whenever I switch from “custom” to “libraries” when choosing colours I would love the search to be immediately active as I have hundreds of variables to choose from. I constantly start typing immediately and end up going to different tools that I did not intend to. Is that too much to ask?

Secondly, why is custom the first option? Don’t we all use libraries more?

Hey @Marie_Rang, thanks for the feedback!

We’ll pass this onto the team for future consideration.

Title pretty much says it all - whenever I try to go and give things a color and it doesn’t already have a variable or style attached to it, I select “libraries” and immediately want to search, I end up doing all sorts of weird things because typing activates other shortcuts. It is already immediately active when you click on a color that already has a library value, so why does it not become immediately active when it doesn’t AND I already click on “libraries” from “custom”? Such a small thing would save me so much annoyance. If you’re gonna implement something, implement it everywhere and consistently.

It is so annoying!! Please fix it figma team!
