If you open a lot of projects the tab strip gets crowded. Chromium browsers solved this by allowing to group tabs, maybe Figma could do the same ?

I really, really need.

linkedin.com

Really need this feature on Figma desktop app. Please Figma team make this feature 😆

I would like to request a feature that can group all tabs, and name the group.

Ex.

there are tabs A, B, C, D, E, F. I can drag them into a group name Work, and Social.

The Work group has tab A, B, C, and the Social group has tab C, D, E, F.

Allow to create Groups of tabs

collapse and expand according to needs specific files.

Like google chrome tabs

YES! I came here to suggest the same thing. Some canned groups would be nice, eg Prototypes, FigJam, as well as custom, eg “Heather’s files”.

Yeah working across multiple teams, with multiple documents, and libraries… it becomes a nightmare to navigate all the tabs. This would be a huge improvement to quality of life in Figma.

woww. even I felt this today. If I could group tabs in Figma that would be great.

bump! would love this in the Figma desktop app

Hi! YES, this would be vety useful for me too!

bump on this, would love this functionality 🙏

I actually have it on last week! After I accidently group 2 tabs, each take up half of the screen. I don’t know how I make it happened, but it’s quite useful, as I need to compare 2 files.

Today I was trying to have this again, but I don’t know how. So I search how to do this, but came here to find out this feature seems not yet exist…(?!) Anyway, I need this grouping feature, thank you!

Yes plz like browser

Hi community, I have an idea that’s been in my head for a while and I don’t know if it’s been mentioned before. Since Figma is a web-based tool, it would be great if it allowed:

  1. Grouping tabs for each project together, similar to Chromium-based browsers.

  2. It would also be good if tabs that are not being used have a stop button so they don’t consume computer resources and only reload when you enter the tab.

Thanks!

+1000 for this feature! I have dozens of files open at once and I often can’t read what each tab is, or accidentally close a tab I didn’t mean to because of tight space.
