I wish Figma had a way to snapshot certain prototype interactions and create a link to that snapshot for review and approval, or add relevant documentation. This would make it so I don’t have to build redundant static mocks.

Prototyping is far more powerful with variables, but means you can only see some interactions when viewing a prototype. This can make it difficult when submitting certain designs for other departments to review. We are currently finding the need to make the prototype for devs, then also mock up another static version to send for review, as reviewing prototypes are harder for our compliance process that needs static versions for documentation purposes.

Hey @aaronjellis, thanks for the idea!

We’ll pass this onto our Prototyping team. Don’t forget to also vote up top! ☝️

Hey, you can checkout the Supademo plugin - https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1382781944686485388/supademo-create-interactive-prototypes-from-figma. You can easily convert your prototypes into interactive demos and also export them as GIF/Video in < 5 mins
