Dev Mode Annotation: How do I avoid my text to be read as a Markdown?

Mirella_Almeida

Sometimes, I need to give more details about tagging an userflow for GA4, for example. But when I have text between two β€œ_” (underlines), Annotation read that as an Italic one. Is there a way to disable it?

Hello @Mirella_Almeida, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this!

I tested on my end and verified the situation as you described. I agree that having a way to disable it would be useful. Also, please don’t forget to vote on your idea.

While we await workarounds from our community, I will check internally to see if we have any workarounds for this. I’ll keep you informed once I gather more details.

If anyone in our community has any insights, please feel free to vote or comment to support this idea.

Thank you again for your valuable input!

Hi @Mirella_Almeida, our engineer team is aware of this, but it may take some time to resolve.

In the meantime, as a workaround, you can type _abc _abc (with a space in the middle) and then delete the space to have _abc_abc without it becoming italic.

I hope this helps in the interim. Thank you for your understanding!
