There is possibility to do only URL links to selected text. Could be useful create interactions also into selected text only Instead whole text frame. Do you know any way to do this?
Hey Johannes, this is not possible at the moment. The only workaround would be here to put the text in a separate text frame to create an interaction. Thank you for raising this feature request with us!
Hi, I was about to create a new post for this but found this.
I really need this feature because I’m building a prototype for a sort of wiki. That means lots of links within the same paragraph. But I need to be able to navigate Back to the previous page, which is currently impossible unless I place all my text links in separate frames. Check out an example file/prototype here.
This means I can’t create a functional wiki-like structure in Figma. I would really like it if we could either add a ‘Navigate to’ interaction to a text snippet rather than a text frame only, or use a ‘Back’ interaction after a URL link.
I’ve also contacted Figma Support about this who indicated there’s no solution for my use case and that they would pass on my request to the team.
Hi @Gayani_S, do you know if there is any timeline for this to be a feature in the future? I am too in need of have text be links to prototype pages.
Hey @Simon31, thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, I can’t share a timeline, but I definitely understand the importance of this feature. I am going to share this internally with the team to get more attention on this feature request.
Thanks,
Gayani
Hi @Gayani_S, thank you for coming back to me and for sharing internally.
Currently you can link text like:
“You can Contact Us and we will answer your questions”
but all you can link this to is a URL pop-up, so you can’t actually link inline text to a page like normal prototyping. Surely this can just make a normal prototype pop-up?
Currently you have to add floating frames over the text, which go out of alignment when the client edits/adds words to the paragraphs making it really annoying to have to go in an edit all these floating frames.
