Figma prototyping would be really useful to have in Figma slides. I don’t mean embedding a prototype on a slide, I mean things like the ability to put a button on a slide that takes you forward, back or to a specific slide.

Some examples of how this could be used:

  • Back and forward arrows you can click to go back / forward
  • Table of contents
  • Creating carousels of information within a slide
  • Hover states and other interactions to make slides more engaging

I know you can get the URL of a slide and add it as a link to text, but that’s very hacky and doesn’t work for something like an actual button or an icon. Basically bring prototyping functionality that’s already in Figma to Figma Slides. In my opinion that’s a big reason why so many people were using Figma for presentations in the first place.

Thanks for the feedback in details! I will share it with our internal team.

Yes! I was looking for this as well

Confirmed! I read many designers case studies embed on their website and they use Swiper, often for mobile presentations, with the ability to go to the next slide. See an example here: https://builtformars.com/case-studies/headspace

Having prototyping on Flides would help us do the same. Otherwise, I would just use classic Figma to do what I want…

+1 Google Slides makes this very easy, I often use to to add a table of contents to the start of a deck that links out to sections.
