Let us know what would make Figma better for you.

In order to take responsiveness to the next level it would be great if an “On resize” interaction could be added. This interaction could “conditionally” set the “Variable mode” in order to change font size and weight when resizing a frame. Therefore it would be great to have a “system variable” available that can be used in expressions, which represents the “width” and “height” of the frame that is being resized. This way we can use the new typographic variables much more and we don’t need any additional plugins of complex setup to achieve the same level of responsiveness.
Component sets are tough to work with iteratively because you can’t undo them without losing your animation work.
It would be awesome if Figma made it possible to embed other third-party tools like Typeform, Calendly, and various scheduling tools, survey tools. I imagine that would be an easy thing to implement? Could be way off…
Workflow will be much faster if we have a filter for color library with groups created while defining variables/styles If they can be defined in groups while creating those variables why can’t we filter the list of all the colors by those groups. For example, I have one collection of base colors and then I have a design palette collection with color token defined for text, button, bg, outline, etc. I see all of them together and have to scroll to find required group or search by name. If there is a filter inside of a library to filter the list by each group of variables/styles getting to required colors will be faster and less irritating.
If a library has spacing tokens, it would be great to be able to apply those in autolayout so that I don’t have to go retroactively apply those tokens after suggest auto-layout has been applied. Figma would round to the nearest token. Even if this was incorrect, it makes it easier to go in and select the next closest token.
We would like to be able to take our icon repository, which we manage in Figma, and export it as a slide presentation (PPT) in such a way that other employees can use the icons individually by saving/copying the icon from the PPT and use it either in another presentation deck or other purpose they need. Something similar to the Pitchdeck plugin. This is a specific use case but this would also be great for us to create presentations in Figma and export them for employees to use as a presentation externally to Figma.
Being able to collapse each UI panel independently was extremely helpful! Ideally I could Hide the central toolbar with a shortcut (maybe [ ctrl + \ ] ) as well. Loving UI3 – bravo!!!
There should be an option or shortcut (preferably Alt + L) to expand/collapse all nested views in the assets panel simultaneously. I just tried the iOS 18 design kit today and discovered that all its nested views in the assets panel were expanded, making the search for components daunting and leaving me with no other option than to use the search field. But how can I search for a component if I don’t know its name? Figma, please!!!
I really enjoy the new UI of hiding the tool panels to reduce distractions from Layers panel in most of time. But I figure out the Pages panel is way more frequent to be used than the previous one. I would recommend adding HOVER interaction to display the Pages panel even the whole panel for a temporary selecting, just like how most Notes software does with sidebar.
💡 I’d love to have the option to use a color picker for post-its on the FigJam. This feature would allow users to select different colors for their post-its, making it easier to categorize and organize information visually. Has anyone else thought about this or found a workaround? 👀
Hi, Awesome Config update 😃 Today, the toggle to active AI is a “all or nothing” option. In the context of a large org, we would benefit to have the same granularity as the plugins one with the ability to enable it for a particular workspace (to test it beforehand giving it to the entire company). The current way to manage it is very restrictive and it’s nearly impossible to deploy it in a controlled way. Thank you! Marc
It’d be awesome if I can add/edit presenter notes while I’m in the presentation mode. Having to switch back and forth when I’m preparing for a presentation kinda breaks the flow. Thanks! Setu
The new page dividers are nice… much better looking than the empty page approach many of us have been using. However, a simple horizontal rule lacks the context our former approach offered us. I would love to see nested pages in addition to these dividers to allow for cleaner file organization to communicate the context for the items in a given group of pages.
Creating presenters notes is not very intuitive. Took me minutes to find it.
Entering Slides presentation mode is a ‘play symbol’ Ok but a button saying “Present” would be better. Existing Slides presentation mode is very obscure: “Open in Figma Slides”. and an icon of a diamond and an arrow?! The use case for presenting to a group or public speaking can be stressful and the Job to be Done of slides is their use “on stage” so actions need to be clear / obvious.
It would be great to include the connector lines feature from FigJam into DEV mode to clearly communicate complex flows to developers without adding clutter to design files.
Since variables with support for modes was introduced, we followed one of the examples to create a single instance for multiple breakpoints. Using modes, we can switch any frame to the desired breakpoint automagically; awesome! Now that responsive viewing is added to prototyping, it would be really helpful to be able to link our breakpoint modes to this viewing experience so that the prototype starts on the correct breakpoint depending on the viewers screensize.
Please increase contrast in dark mode everything blends together and overall ends up looking like the previous UI. In addition, the help icon is also difficult to notice as well until it was pointed out to me by someone on light mode. Also the orange and black looks very similar to a halloween theme which is fun but personally would prefer other colours.
This would be a great addition to Figma - the contribution graph. It would work amazingly with branching and could motivate design teams to contribute more. Opinions? Is there something like that already?
The UI experience with Figma U13 would really benefit significantly if it replaces the double-sided arrow for adjusting numerical input values with an input stepper displayed as users hover over the input field. This eliminates the need to move the mouse or reach for the keyboard, making the experience more user-friendly. The option can also be provided as an alternative for users who prefer to use drag handles.
I’m sorry if it’s already talked about. It would be nice to have this feature in Figma. You all know this from GitHub. And I think it could be very helpful not only for designers, but also for managers, and even, god forgive me, HRs as well. Very “community” thing:) LMK WDYT:)
I’m starting to use the slides in Figma, and well… I am a user who already uses Figma as a presentation tool. Could it be possible to transform or link my old presentations and make them a slide file? Also first thing I thought… why I can’t connect my library to the slide? at least like colors… elements… I don’t know it would be easier to customize it according to the company’s brand.
I’m sick of this feature i just want to past objects in a different layer why can’t I do the most basic feature in any design application. Please remove
Am I the only one that finds it annoying to access the Libraries dialog? Every time I need to access it — which is often —, I have to go through Assets → Tiny Libraries Icon or F menu → Libraries. B̶u̶t̶ w̶a̶i̶t̶… n̶o̶ s̶h̶o̶r̶t̶c̶u̶t̶ e̶i̶t̶h̶e̶r̶!̶ 🙈 🤷 Libraries are such an integral part of many working with Figma. When one is updating components, or publishing, or adding a library to a file, many use cases. 🤌 Is it to crazy to think it should have a shortcut and “upgrade” its icon position adding it to the main toolbar? Let’s make this unfairness stop right now! Help me out library peeps, we can stop this madness together! Please up vote and share 🫵 To Figma devs: this feature won’t disturb your next sprint! Surprise your manager, us and the world by correcting years of neglect. EDIT: As pointed out, there’s a shortcut. Changed the text to bump the icon to the main toolbar.
Hi. Every day, I use variables in my design. I spend a lot of time adding my variables to auto layout. It would be very useful if the variable name could be entered directly into the input field without selecting it from a dropdown menu. This would save a lot of time.
