It is a reasonable request.
JSON Code not updating the durations after making adjustments to the timeline. I’ve tried to close it and reopen. I’ve republished the component. Not sure what else to do.
I noticed a usability issue with the Figma Agent placement. Since the Agent icon appears on the right side of every frame, it often overlaps the area where users expect to grab the resize handle. While resizing frames today, my cursor repeatedly landed on the Agent instead of the transform handle, which disrupted the interaction.Possible improvements:Move the Agent to a corner of the transform bounding box. Keep the current alignment but add more spacing between the frame edge and the Agent icon.
hi Figma, i need your magic. I require both a maximum and minimum character limit for the text property. This will allow me to establish clear guidelines for UX writers, ensuring that their content fits within the designated character limits and maintains a tidy design and layout.
It would be great to have the option to share plugins created with the agent across the organization in order to standardize workflows and methodologies.
Hi, We’re trying to export some assets from Figma (either JPEG or PNG) is fine, but running into some issues with resolution. If we export at 1x, the image is low quality… however, if we export at 2x it doubles the dimensions of the image itself (for most ad platforms this is fine, but this time we need it in the exact dimensions) I’ve tried exporting at 2x and scaling down using other online tools, but the assets then become low quality again. Anyone else had this issue / managed to solve it?
Hello,I am looking to create a good hero section for my site, where it should take the height of browser in the first fold. The subsequent sections can be of fixed heights based on content. I need something like 100vh to have for my hero section.
really figma team? now i must click individually to toggle layer visibility. just yesterday i can hold mouse click to hide multiple, it was smooth before, 1 click hold - hide/show multiple.now is disaster, wasting time, bad ux.
ProblemWhen a vertically scrollable frame is nested inside another vertically scrollable frame, scrolling works inside the child until it reaches its top or bottom edge — at which point the scroll locks in place. The remaining scroll input is never passed to the parent frame, so the user has to physically move their cursor outside the child frame to continue scrolling the page.Current behaviorScroll input is captured entirely by whichever scroll container the cursor is over. When that container hits its limit, the input stops there and does not propagate.Expected behaviorMatch how browsers handle nested scroll containers by default: once a child scroll region reaches its edge, the leftover scroll should "chain" up to the parent, letting the user keep scrolling the page in one continuous gesture without repositioning the cursor.Proposed solutionAdd a scroll-chaining option to the Overflow settings on the Prototype tab — equivalent to CSS overscroll-behavior. Ideally with two modes:Chain
💡 [IMPORTANT] Feedback: Support for Relative Units (%, em, rem) for VariableWhile we are on the topic of variables, we desperately need support for relative units in number/dimension variables.• The Suggestion: Please allow us to input values using percentages (%), em, rem, or other responsive CSS units not just absolute pixels (px).• The Impact: Modern web design relies heavily on fluid typography and relative spacing. Having to calculate and hardcode everything in pixels limits the true power of Figma variables for front-end handoff. Please look into these issues, especially the spacing regression in the latest UI.Thank you!
When I open my Figma project files, they are always sorted by “Last modified” by default. I can manually change the sorting to Alphabetical order using the dropdown in the top-right corner, but after refreshing the page or reopening Figma, the sorting resets back to Last modified. I’ve seen other people posting the same issue. I want to push this topic forward with sharing it again. Is it possible to fix it please dear Figma? :)
I would like Figma to add a Timer Delay block that can be inserted within existing prototype interactions, such as On Click, On Tap, While Hovering, and other available triggers. The timer would not function as a separate interaction trigger. Instead, it would act as a nested logic block within an existing interaction, similar to how conditional actions are currently structured. For example:On Click├── Set loading state├── Timer Delay: 2 seconds│ ├── Run conditional│ ├── Set variable│ └── Navigate to Success screen└── Play animationAny actions placed inside the Timer Delay block would execute only after the specified amount of time has elapsed. Actions outside the block could continue to execute immediately. Proposed FunctionalityWithin an existing interaction, designers could:Select an interaction trigger, such as On Click. Insert a Timer Delay block. Specify the duration of the delay. Place one or more actions inside the timer block, such as: Run a conditional Set a variable Na
The process for publishing and updating is bizarrely clunky for such an integral tool. It seems like no big deal until you’ve got a very big project that lasts for months. The time spent farting around in menus, when there could simply be a button, is just a waste. There’s also a lot of opportunity for mistakes when you think you may have accepted a small update and have missed it, which happens over the life of a very long project, and leads to unnecessary frustration. It would be very helpful to have a button directly in the UI that is an easy single click to publish. Additionally, a little icon to the right of it that fills with color when a linked file has been updated, clearly indicating there’s an update to review, would make a world of difference. (Doesn’t have to be that, I just hate asking for change without offering ideas 🙂) The pop-up can still exist, but now we don’t need to travel so far to get to it. And again, that doesn’t sound like much, but I’ve been working o
As seen by the video, if i enter text in your file search and then try to clear the field with the x, nothing happens. Assuming this is a bug?

Dear My Love.. Figma Team, I wanted to share some critical feedback regarding the recent UI update to the Local Variables panel, along with a highly requested feature suggestion. 🚨 [IMPORTANT] Feedback 1: Excessive Spacing Between VariablesSince the latest update, there is a massive, unnecessary vertical gap/spacing between each variable row in the table (as shown in my screenshot). The Issue: This drastically reduces information density. It looks less like clean UI and more like a bug.• The Impact: For large design systems with hundreds of primitive variables, this requires an exhausting amount of scrolling. It completely disrupts the workflow and makes the panel feel cluttered yet empty at the same time.• Request: Please restore the compact, dense layout or at least give us a "Compact View" toggle in the settings. 💡 [IMPORTANT] Feedback 2: Support for Relative Units (%, em, rem)While we are on the topic of variables, we desperately need support for relative units in number/dimensio
This thread is here for you to share your thoughts and suggestions about the Figma Forum. We’re proud of the work we’ve done so far, but we know there’s always room to make things even better. Here’s some prompts that you can use:What are your thoughts on the forum makeover of January 2025? What do you like the most? What have you struggled with so far? / What are the top three areas that need improvement? What would you like to see us implement next?If you spot a bug or have any feedback, drop a reply here — we’ll do our best to respond and improve!
When a Text Style's font size is bound to a variable and made responsive via modes (e.g. mobile/desktop), the actual rendering on the canvas updates correctly for the active mode. However, the typography summary in the side panel and the Text Styles list keep showing the default mode's static number, not the active mode's value. Color variables display their variable name in the same panel, but font size stays a raw number. This asymmetry confuses teams during review. This isn't new. The same issue was reported in November 2024 and is still unresolved: https://forum.figma.com/ask-the-community-7/mobile-typography-size-showing-even-after-switching-mode-of-frame-to-desktop-19286 As explained in that thread, variables dynamically change a text style's visual representation but do not update the style's underlying metadata shown in the side panel. So this cannot be fixed through user settings — it's the product's current behavior, which is why a product improvement is needed. Current behav
Every time I search for something, All the top results are 6 years old and no longer have anything to do with how Figma works these days. with the rate at which new features are being released. I would like to sort the results by newest, so that I can actually find results that are relevant to the recent versions of Figma.
This feature enables users to directly extract and copy text from images (JPEG, PNG, etc.) within Figma. It utilizes Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to recognize and convert text within an image into editable text layers. This functionality enhances productivity by allowing designers to quickly integrate text data from visual assets without manual transcription. Use Cases: Efficient Workflow: Designers can seamlessly transfer text from mood boards, screenshots, and scanned documents into their designs. Accessibility Improvement: Extracting text from images and converting it into editable formats can help improve the accessibility of documents by allowing for easy adjustments to text size, color, and font, making it more readable. Error Reduction: Reduces transcription errors and saves time by automating the text digitization process. Implementation Suggestion: Integrate an OCR button within the image toolbar in Figma. Once an image is selected, users can click this bu
Figma has stopped remembering the file sorting preference: It now always defaults to ‘Last Modified’ at the beginning of session, no matter what your choice was. Can we have it back? This is now default at the beginning of every sessionI am these days having to open this dropdown ‘Sort By’ → Alphabetical 30 times a day. Last modified does not work for us since it shows us whole new set of files every time because how many people work and edit files daily; Alphabetical works better for us since we use numerical naming and then every file is correctly displayed in the intended order of product importance (home, registration, features, etc)
Auto-Layout has padding (inner spacing), but no margins (outer spacing). Currently the only 2 ways to add spacing is to: Create a spacer element or Wrap the items in another frame and apply gap spacing This creates a lot of unnecessary frames, and sometimes creates nesting so deep it goes outside the layers panel. Not sure if a technical limitation left this out of consideration in the first few versions of Auto Layout, but it would be much appreciated if it were included in a future version as it comes up as a significant limitation many times a day.
Figma motion does not currently have the ability to play and export video fills, so video objects are treated as static images. The ability to incorporate video objects into the timeline would be extremely helpful. Exposing the current frame of a video as a keyframeable property be a great solve.
It would be great if we could select different device frames for each flow. This would give huge benefits to those who design responsive websites side by side.
There should be an easier way to change text formatting to text on the same page. Similar to eyedropper tool with colour, but changes text to the same format as what was selected. There is a feature like this in Illustrator, and I use it all the time.
