I would love to be able to do more in Slides via the API. Specifically it would be great to be able read and write text in the slides via the API, so we can convert other content into Slides easily or update our Slides decks easily.

Why are the previews of the project displayed equally to the editable?How many features are blocking the discovery of what I am searching for?Why can I render forza in hd and web-ui drops fps? 

I made a form field where additional text can be shown to the right of the entry. I only need text on the right, so I didn’t wrap it in a frame like the entry field. I had to set the height of the text container to a set value so it lines up with the entry on the left. However, if I switch it to hug the contents of the text, I can’t choose to only hug the width without changing the height. I can’t use line height - it centers instead of positioning on the bottom. Obviously, I could wrap it in a frame, and then the frame can control hug separately. This is just a pain, adding more structure that I wouldn’t otherwise need if it just did what it looks like it does. It also took me a bit to realize what was happening, since I assumed that if I set hug on the width, it would only hug the width.  This was also shared here in a closed thread so I don’t think this is a just me thing. Apparently you can’t change these things.I could understand if you didn’t want to allow changing the kind of topic since my understanding is that if a question has a marked answer and you wanted to change to conversation you wouldn’t know what to do about this. But at least I think it should be reasonable to allow users to change the title and category. People make mistakes sometimes...

I want to ask 3 things, but I’m not sure if it would be appropriate to create one post for each:The keyboard shortcuts panel feels awkward. Either allow the user to resize it or make it a popup si you have more space to view the shortcuts more comfortably. Actually show all shortcuts. There are many that aren’t available there so you can’t really use it as a reference. For instance, Alt+R adds a mark in the center of the selected element, but when I went to the keyboard shortcuts menu to understand what this mark actually is I couldn’t find anything and I can’t tell if I am doing more than just adding the mark because I couldn’t find the keyboard shortcut there. Allow the user to enter a keyboard shortcut to learn about it. Currently you can find the keyboard shortcut to do something in particular through Ctrl+P, but not the other way around.I’m a web developer and I use VSCode. Hi, I’m relatively new to Figma and wanted to surface what I consider as frustrating  UX  in Figma main project navigation.Flow: 1) I am in my Team / Project section and I click on a specific file.2) Once I’m done with this file (or maybe I entered the wrong file) and need to go back to my files dashboard/project page.  Problems: ​​​​​​​Currenlty the back option is not immediately visible - I have to select the figma logo (in itself this icon in not indicative if the actions we can take). then hit “Back to files”.Potential solutionsI’d suggest the  “back” action is VERRY common and should not be hidden in 2 clicks/drill down menu but have a direct link The breadcrums that was present in step 2 disappeared. It would be great to have it as an option to go back to project or directly jump to the Team page if needed.  TY

We often leave comments with different purposes or to different roles in the company (stakeholder, copy, dev, UX/UI, etc.) It would make it much easier to identify the comments relevant for you if we had the option of color coding or tagging them (and filtering your comments view to only show those relevant to your work). This would especially make large projects easier.

I don’t think I need to say anything more. It’s weird that this doesn’t exist.

Context:While working on a design system in Figma, I’ve created a set of color tokens using the new Variables feature. These tokens are organized and published via a shared Library for consistent use across projects.Issue:When selecting a color from the Variables panel (especially from Libraries), the color swatches are visible, but no color values or token names are displayed on hover. This makes it difficult to quickly identify or differentiate between similar shades—especially in large systems with many tokens.Why This Matters:Designers often rely on visual cues and quick access to token names or values. Without hover details, we’re forced to memorize or constantly reference documentation. It slows down the workflow and increases the chance of using incorrect tokens.Proposed Solution:Please consider adding a tooltip or hover state that displays:The token name The color value (e.g., HEX, RGB, or HSL)This small UX improvement would significantly enhance usability and efficiency when w

Please allow us to define the order of properties for a component...I really hate that nested properties are separated without a way to order it to suit my needs. In the example below I want to be able to move the “Status Indicator” properties below “Show Status Indicator” when enabled.   

When you invite people you need them to accept the invitation first in order for you to assign a role and workspace.This could take DAYS in order for people to be able to get start working because time it takes to communicate to multiple groups of people, different time zone when they request/when I invite them. It is especially bad with my nature of my organization when you have people come and go constantly. When it could be done within 2 minutes.Please add this feature, I wasted so much time and energy when I could be doing something else. 

I haven’t seen it here, but it would be extremely helpful, for Enterprise, to be able to set Workspace, Billing Group, and permissions for Figma/FigJam seats at the time of invitation. Under the current design, I have to invite someone, then I have to wait until they create a profile to then assign seat permissions and workspace/billing group. Then, because I don’t get any notification that the invitee has created the profile, they have to wait until the next time I log in, or contact me again. You can see how much of a time waste (bad design) this is, especially if you’re inviting a group of people who create profiles at different times.

It’s a personal tool that can reflect your workflow and become a source of inspiration. Is there a shortcut for add variant to a single component? (i.e. starting a multi-variant component from a non-variant component.) I can’t find it. It would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut for this. ‘Add variant’ is available with right-clicking a non-variant component, but this is the context-menu. If it was in the Mac OS menu I could add a custom Mac OS shortcut but it’s not listed there.

there is no single reason why figma make should be limited to the ability to write code for the web, today this is not enough I'm tired of waiting for updates for half a year that ultimately don't come what's the point of being able to create something through AI in figma design, so that you can later copy and paste it into another file? Is the fact that you can write prompts in a figma file really so non-obvious that you needed to do the same thing in a new file? your updates look like nonsense

Hello!I would like to suggest a functionality that would enable us to change the nested instance properties directly from the component that contains them. Here’s an example use-case: Please forgive me if there’s already such a feature or this suggestion is discussed elsewhere, I searched for both possibilities but couldn’t find relative answers.Best!

When I duplicate a page, or when I copy a master component, I want to have the option the “pasted” object to be a master component itself, or the duplicated page to be created with the same relationships between instances & components and to include master components as well. Well, I think I found some solution how this can happen… When I have a master component in a page and I copy paste it into another file, it comes as an instance. BUT when I have a master component AND an instance created from this component in the same page and I copy-paste them both together inside another file, then they come as Master component & instance, and not as 2 instances. 😀

Trying out Figma site. Really like that i can ship a simple site really quick. Currently still really buggy though and the responsiveness on the live site keeps breaking. I was wondering when it will be possible to embed a Figma prototype in Figma sites. It’s quite different and not very sleek embedding a Figma prototype in sites using the embed link that’s currently available. P.S - I like how Notion does it. 

Today i remarked an update of figma. And I’m really upset. I liked new feature progressive blur? but i can’t put more than one on one layer. But that really touch my heart new icons of pen and brush, earlier i fall in love in figma because of minimalism and right now it is something different. And i dont like appearing of blue color in interface

I collaborate with multiple clients and developers, and some of my clients cover the cost of developer seats assigned to their teams. Currently, I’m paying for 2 additional Developer seats and 1 Full seat on a monthly basis, and I need a way to manage invoicing more efficiently.Ideally, I’d like to either: Be able to select which seats I want to receive separate invoices for, and/or Be able to group specific seats together and receive invoices for those groups. This would allow me to forward the appropriate invoice directly to each client for the seats they are responsible for, instead of having to send them a single invoice covering all seats and manually explain which portion they need to pay to me. 

Having a design system that uses custom beziers for interactions, it’s quite tedious applying them when prototyping as I have to find the correct values in a separate window and then copy + paste.It’d be great if we could save either custom bezier presets or have some form of ‘easing styles’ that allowed users to save their own presets to be easily applied through prototyping. 

It’s annoying that I have to wait until AFTER a user accepts their invite for me to assign their seat type. Current use case: I sent a new hire an invite. When they accept it in a few days, I’ll have to go BACK into Figma to give them a full seat. Why can’t I do it all in one step and save me some time?

Hey I have a style guide and its currently in phase 2, my team has decided to simplify the text styles so I need to merge a lot of text styles together. Is there an efficient method of doing this? Thanks!
