Question

No font name preview available

Preslava Petrova

When I want to change the font of any text in Figma there is no preview of it’s name in the dropdown selection - only the loading skeleton.

The functionality works - the font changes and I can see the name outside of the dropdown but it’s hard to navigate when I use the search bar.

I’m using the browser version and I have a paid account. It”s the same no matter if I’m connected to WiFi or LAN cable. Have someone run into that issue?

Hi @Preslava Petrova,

I understand you're having trouble with the font picker not showing font names.

I just tested this on my end, and the font names in the picker are displaying as expected for me.

If you haven't yet, could you try force-quitting your current session and opening Figma in a brand new browser window to see if that makes a difference?

If the issue still persists, we'd like to connect you with our team to take a closer look. To help them respond quickly and effectively, we'd like to know a bit more:

  • Is this happening in the Figma Desktop app too?
  • Is this issue happening in a specific file or across all your files?

Thanks,

Preslava Petrova

Hi @Junko3 !

Thank you for the support!

At the moment of writing I wasn’t able to use the desktop app because I’m working in big corporation and I was waiting for instalation approval. Now I have the app and the font picker is showing the names corectly.

I still have the issue in browser. I’m using Chrome on Windows 11, it happents in all files. Even if I choose Google fonts for example, not intilled by me, it still doesn’t work.

Cheers!

Hi @Preslava Petrova,

Thank you for the update! It's great to hear that the font picker is now working correctly in your desktop app.

I understand that the issue with the font list not displaying correctly in the font picker when you select Google Fonts is still persisting in your browser (Chrome on Windows 11).
