Conflict resolution interface is unusable

Conflict resolution workflow never seems to work for me. Either no specifics are displayed at all, and all I can do is press the “resolve” button, or it lists dozens and dozens of conflicts, each taking a whole minute to load the preview, and in the end all the previews turn out to be identical.

A textual representation (diff) of conflicts would probably be more useful.

Not mentioning the complete failure of displaying black text on black background and not being able to switch the preview bg right in the window (I don’t want to change my whole display mode from dark to light just to see the previews in figma conflicts/merge window).

Hi @Sheila_Sheikh , Thank you for contacting us.

I've checked our internal system and found a similar report describing slow loading times for previews and a lack of visible differences. I've added your post to this existing report to help raise its visibility.

To help our support team investigate your specific situation and provide more tailored assistance, would you mind if I created a support ticket for you?

If you're comfortable with that, could you please tell us: Does this issue occur in the desktop app, in a browser, or both?

Thank you for your valuable suggestions concerning:

  • Providing a textual representation of conflicts
  • Implementing the ability to switch the preview background directly within the modal

I will share this feedback with our internal team.

Thank you again for reaching out.

Hi @Junko3 ,

Yes, you can go ahead and create a support ticket, thank you.

This happens in the desktop app, I haven’t checked the web version (I don’t use it).
