I am having this issue
If you are are stuck in a loop of VS Code asking you to “Accept terms and conditions” please log into VS Code before connecting in Figma.
So I’m trying to log in in vs code. I go to the Figma icon in the sidebar and in there it has a button that says “Restart login flow”, but when I click it it doesn’t do anything.
Thanks for flagging these ongoing problems with us. We published an update to the extension (version 0.2.1) that should fix these ongoing login issues. Can you try updating the extension to this version and if the problems persist, we’d appreciate if you can reach out to the Product Support team directly via this form: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new .
Using 0.2.1 i’m stuck on login :
The figma pane is here
I click the login button
Restart login flow show up but nothing append
I am also stuck at ‘restart login flow’ issue
Same situation like @Fred9
I installed 0.2.1 and opened figma panel, clicking figma no result.
I inspected developer’s tool for VScode, I saw an error below. Hope it helps.
workbench.desktop.main.js:616 ERR command 'actions.clickLogin' not found: Error: command 'actions.clickLogin' not found
Windows10, zip archived version of VS code, 1.74.1
I have the same issue. Immposible to login in figma extention
Same issue here, i click the restart login flow and nothing happens.
Mine works on the oldest version @Figma_Support
Looking forward to using this plugin! Hope to support the VSCode insiders version as soon as possible, because I’m using Copilot Chat.
I had the same issue even though I was already logged in to my account and I could not log back in, so I went back to version 0.1.2
of the extension where I had the option to authenticate ( log in ), logged back in to my account and then updated the extension to the latest version, it works now
These are the error message I got when clicking the Login/ Restart login flow button
VS Code Insiders is the latest VS Code version. If this Figma extension is not compatible with it, wouldn’t it means that it won’t be compatible with future versions of VS Code ?
I can’t get past that loading state. I can’t access my projects.
Same here
I alsp have the same issue 😕
To address the issue at hand, I have discovered a workaround that involves performing the following steps:
- Close VSCode completely.
- Reopen VSCode.
- Open the Figma extension within VSCode.
- A login prompt will appear, prompting me to log in.
- After successfully logging in, I will be able to view my projects within the Figma extension.
By following these steps, I have been able to overcome the problem temporarily.
Has there been a resolution to the issue with the login flow doing nothing? I’d love to use this plugin.
try logging in again
- While in VS Code, Press Shift+Command+P to Show and Run Commands.
- Select Figma: Log out from the list of options in the search bar.
This seems to be an issue with the Windows Credential Manager
Delete a few VSCode
entries from there, and Figma
login should work!
In order to accept the Terms of Service, you’ll need to click “Next” in the Dev Mode modal.
I am not seeing a Dev Mode Modal… am I missing something? I do not see a Modal when turning on the dev toggle, nor a “Next” button. Any help would be appreciated.
I installed the beta version, and I tried setting the preferred language for codegen. But when I clicked “Browse codegen plugins,” nothing happened. I was looking to install the Anima plugin for code generation or the Figma to Code plugin. Anyone know any workarounds?
I can’t login, I press the login button, log in on Figma, but then I get the following error in VS Code, which I am not sure what it means
Your user has idle timeout configured and is not currently able to use Figma for VS Code
+1 I am experiencing the same issue. Is this a bug of the beta? Since our enterprise plan and security setting do require the idle timeout settings it would be a real impediment to not be able to use the plugin with these user settings.
Ran into this issue today (on Mac) with the idle timeout error message. Is there still no solution for this?
