i recently moved a design from projects to trash and now i cant seem to find it anywhere not even in the trash folder

I’m working on a small word-puzzle interface and have been thinking about how much information should be visible on the first screen. A typical puzzle can have the main challenge, instructions, input controls, feedback for correct or incorrect attempts, and sometimes things like hints, a progress indicator, or a history of previous attempts. Putting everything on one screen can make the layout feel crowded, but hiding too much can make the interaction less obvious.For example, with a Letter Boxed  styled interface, the central puzzle area needs to remain visually dominant while the surrounding controls still need to be easy to understand. I’m particularly interested in how people approach the hierarchy between the puzzle itself, instructions, action buttons, and feedback states when designing this type of experience.If you were building this in Figma, would you start with the interaction flow and prototype the states first, or establish the visual hierarchy and component system before

Figma Mirror on the iOS app no longer updates in real time when I tap on a frame in the browser or desktop app.I can load a different artboard if I switch to a different file, but within the same file, Figma Mirror gets stuck on the first artboard I select. Before starting Mirror, I can see the artboard name update on the iOS app when I switch between artboards. However, once I start Mirror, it stops updating.

I love the idea of figma motion and can see it working in my setup, but the lack of audio is a huge miss for animated with timing and sound. I am sure there is a plan, but do you have any info as to when audio will be introduced? FYI - I tried making a plugin using the agent and it said no to me. :)Thanks in advance!Dan

How other designers deal with ongoing requests from clients once a project is underway.I’ve found they tend to arrive through a mixture of email, WhatsApp, Slack etc, and keeping track of what’s actually outstanding can get messy pretty quickly.Do you use a particular tool/process for this or just manage it through messages?

Hi Figma team and community,I am trying to use Figma MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration in VS Code, but I’m running into a persistent authentication token creation issue that prevents the connection from working. Problem DescriptionWhen I configure mcp.json like this:"figma": {"type": "http","url": "https://mcp.figma.com/mcp"},and start the server in VS Code, a browser opens to https://www.figma.com/oauth/mcp/... where I click “Agree and Allow Access”. It seems that fails then a window in VS Code shows “You have not yet finished authenticating to 'Figma MCP'. Hi,I recently starting using the Figma Make. I am currently evaluating it using the Free version, however the usage of credits seems to have a bug.I was working on a screen from last week. I created the Version 1 using prompts. As I began updating it, I started noticing the usage of credits as well. Up until Version 2, it seemed fine.However, when I started working on Version 3, I noticed something unusual in my AI credits balance and its usage. I continued with the previously selected model (Gemini 3.1 Pro like selected in Version 2, Version 1 was with the default selected model).Firstly, it took more than 10-15 minutes to provide a feedback, and then the prompt returned (failed) without any result. Prior to sending the prompt, I had more than 80 credits (daily), however those credits were used but I did not get back any updated version or artifact. I logged into Figma yesterday to find that every single one of my files and projects are missing, my education status is not longer showing, and all of my teams are gone too. More than 5+ years of work, just gone. My account looks like it was reset, however the recents contain files which were public that I accessed months ago, but that it is. As in the screenshot, I am not a part of any team. I was on the Education plan too and I cannot see that team anymore, and I was not emailed about needing to re-verify either. I am not part of any team, and this is all that is in my Recents.Nothing is in the trash. I have not deleted everything—that would genuinely be crazy and I did not do that. No one else has access to my account. I am logged into my only Figma account. Im trying to get into Figma and looking for a drawing tablet so that I can use a pen instead of using my mouse.Anyone is using anything like this and have some insight on whats better to use ?

I have a component that has some lines in it. The lines are spaced out with a specific ratio. The idea is that I can use these lines and scale the component while keeping the ratio between the lines the same when I scale the component up or down. I can’t seem to get my head around this. For context it is to be used in a graph.  I have tried farming the lines, I have used the scale property, the Left+Right property and even the Center property and none of the above worked.I have tried to use boxes as spacers between the lines. I can get the boxes to scale correctly, however the lines will not follow the boxes:  Thanks for any input - it will be valued very much!

What’s going on?Figma UI has updated today and I can no longer access my variable library to apply values to things like padding or radius. Existing components are fine - menu still appears - but new items only have manual controls. That’s really annoying. Is it a bug?

Hey everyone,I need to vent because I’m genuinely at my wits' end with the recent updates. It feels like Figma is getting worse day by day, and basic, foundational features are being completely ruined or hidden in the name of "sleek redesigns."Out of nowhere today, the "Apply Variable" gear icons have completely vanished from my properties panels. I’m trying to link padding, gap spacing, and border radiuses to our design tokens, but the contextual hover icons just aren't appearing on the settings inputs anymore. Please fix this ASAP, Figma. Stop breaking core functionality for things we use every single minute of our workflows.😡   

Figma Motion has shape glitches when I add key frames to a specific shape.I have multiple rectangle shapes in my frame. I selected a shape and tried to add width key frame on figma motion. It turned out the other shapes get glitched and their width/height changes and it’s position has been changed as well. The selected shape remains the same, but the other shapes gets glitched and transformed.

I’m on Organization and trying to use Transfer from a workspace that still shows All projects to a destination team on Professional that shows All folders. The destination URL validates and shows verified, but after I select Request transfer, I get: ‘You cannot transfer to this organization at this moment. Please contact support for more details.’ The item contains three design files, and this happens in the browser and the desktop app.  

There is currently no way to move/transfer variables between published libraries (while maintaining all linkages) the same way you can with components or styles, right?My use case is that we currently have two separate libraries—“Styles” which contains typography and spacing variables, and “Colors” which contains color variables—that I would like to merge into one. But we have all sorts of legacy stuff pointed at “Colors,” so I don’t think an export/import/swap libraries process is going to cut it.Am I missing anything? Has anyone found a solution for this problem? Or is it at least on Figma’s roadmap?

Hey all!I have a use case where I’m trying to build some basic Figma Design mockup documentation for users who are not UX people by trade and may be starting from absolutely zero Figma experience. I figured Make would be a good way to bridge the gap – but even when I give it a strict template image and tell it not to make changes, it keeps making major edits. The end result is fine design-wise but doesn’t look anything like what users could/should be working towards.Has anyone had any luck with getting it to stick to a specific format? I also can’t give these users access to any libraries; they would have to be able to get to the end result with an image and description only.
