During Figma Schema 2025 they announced upcoming support for extended variable collections and native variable export/import conforming with the DTCG token specification.It was announced during this session: Here is a screenshot of what they were proposing:An update to the app dropped a few days ago with extended collections but I cannot find how to export variables to JSON (without using a plugin).I don’t have the “Export modes” option in my dropdown menu, even with our Enterprise account.Has anyone got that feature and how do you do it?

Hello Figma Support Team,I’m facing a serious issue with Figma that is preventing me from working at all.Even though my internet connection is stable and fast, Figma is not syncing properly. Files do not save, images do not load fully, and many of them appear half-loaded — similar to what happens when there is no internet connection.When I try to save or open my existing projects, the images inside the files show “Downloading”, but they never finish downloading, even after waiting for more than an hour. While it’s an exciting tool, I’ve noticed that prompts play a huge role in getting meaningful and usable outputs. I’ve tried several approaches, but sometimes I still get “stuck” with prompts that Figma Make doesn’t fully understand. That’s why I’d love to hear from the community about the best practices you’ve discovered. One of the challenges I’m facing is figuring out whether it’s possible to create prompts that help split files in Figma Make. At the moment, most of the code tends to merge into a single apps.tsx file, which makes it harder to manage. Hello! My personal team was automatically converted into an Education team after a university email joined. This was unintentional—I have removed the university email member and would like an immediate reversion to the standard Starter Plan. Happy to answer any questions after the reversion is completed.Someone at Figma please help! Posting because I wasn’t able to find a self-serve solution for this anywhere (all existing posts’ solutions involve manual intervention from Figma). Thanks!

I’m working in Figma Slides (Drafts), not a regular Page.I have an image applied as an Image Fill on a rectangle inside a slide.I want to place another rectangle (overlay) on top of that image, but when I use Bring to front, nothing changes.Since Slides mode does not show a full layer panel, I can’t tell which parent frame the shapes are in, or how to move the overlay into the same hierarchy as the image.I’m not trying to layer across slides — only within the same slide.What is the correct way to overlay a shape on top of an image in Figma Slides when layer structure is hidden?

Hi,I’m posting here because I’ve been unable to resolve this issue for over two months, and I’m extremely frustrated at this point.I successfully completed my student verification through SheerID more than two months ago. SheerID has confirmed that my verification was approved on their side. However, my Figma account still continuously shows a popup asking me to verify my student status, and the Education plan is not applied.I have already contacted education@figma.com multiple times regarding this issue, but I have never received any response. SheerID told me that since the verification was successful, this issue needs to be handled directly by Figma.

Dear Support,I have a question about adding interactions in a component. I added interactions to one variant, but it is not set as the default in the design. When I display this variant in the prototype, the added interaction does not appear. Is that normal?Please refer to the attached gif.  Thanks.Mia

I’ve done everything about it checked my graphic card update. cleared cache and everything it still doesnt work. 

I wanted to see mostly the pages panel so I dragged the layers panel as far down as possible. When I was done I tried to increase the height of the layers panel, but I couldn’t drag it at all. I moved the cursor very, very slowly to achieve this, but it didn’t work. I also tried to quit and reopen, make the window larger, and moved it to another screen, but nothing worked. I would consider this a critical usability error because I cannot recover from this state. 

Hello Figma Support Team,I recently noticed an additional charge on my invoice under "One-time charges and credits." It appears that this was caused when I mistakenly assigned a team member as an Editor, which automatically added a paid seat. As soon as I realized this mistake, I quickly reverted the member back to View-only mode. Since this was an unintentional action and the additional seat was never actually used, I kindly request if the related charge can be canceled or refunded. I understand that Figma charges automatically when a seat is upgraded, but I would greatly appreciate your understanding in this case, as the change was accidental and corrected immediately. Thank you very much for your assistance.  Best regards,   

I am still learning UI design with Google certifacate, I had verifyed an education account two times before, but now every thing has been changed.I really can not afford the cost of Figma subscription because I am still in the learning progress without any income from that.

Hello,I've been having trouble using Figma with my student account since last week. Every time I try to verify, I get a Verification Limit Exceeded message. I've never used Figma Education with my school email address. I've already contacted SheerID, but they haven't responded. How can I resolve the limitation?Thank You

I am unable to log into my Figma account because my associated email address (my school email) has been deactivated by my institution. I can no longer receive authentication codes to log in. Anyone can help here? Thanks!

Hello,I have an unpaid invoice that was generated before my team was downgraded to the Starter (free) plan.The subscription is already cancelled and all paid seats were removed.I do not plan to continue using the paid plan, and there is no active subscription on the account now.Could a Figma Support Specialist please close or void this outstanding invoice?Thank you.

I recently lost access to my old email address and want to update the email on my figma account to regain access to my files and content. I created ticket 1641151 and am happy to provide any information to provide identity, but do not have access to the original email (the ticket provides a new email address).

Hello Figma Team,I’ve been trying to verify my student status for the past three months but haven’t been able to complete the process. My university does not provide a university-issued email ID, so I submitted the required documents instead. Unfortunately, my verification was cancelled, and after multiple attempts it now shows “limit exceeded.”Access to the student pass is very important for my academic and design work. I’ve already contacted SheerID, but they were unable to resolve the issue. I also tried emailing Figma earlier but haven’t received any response.Could you please help by manually verifying my student status or guiding me on how to proceed?
