Figma recently rolled out new updates; however, I have noticed that certain changes have negatively impacted the daily user experience.1 - The left sidebar can no longer be hidden or collapsed. This occupies unnecessary screen space, which significantly hinders the workflow.2 - The click-and-drag shortcut to hide multiple layers sequentially is no longer functioning. Previously, users could hide a layer, hold the click, and drag upwards to hide subsequent layers automatically. This feature appears to have been removed, forcing users to toggle visibility manually, layer by layer.Ultimately, these changes seem counterintuitive to a seamless user experience. Furthermore, community posts indicate that these updates have introduced additional widespread issues.
I have an educational Figma account, and I'm experiencing an issue where variables aren't appearing in either my drafts or team projects. Interestingly, on my separate free account, variables are visible in both drafts and team projects without any issues.
Hi,ย I think I may have lost AI credits due to failed generations, and Iโm also seeing conflicting UI messaging.I initially entered prompts through the main AI prompt text input while on the Files page, but both attempts failed with โSomething went wrongโ errors (example ID: 55a3160f-8fcc-4aca-82ac-0ad25065a110). Nothing was ever successfully generated from those attempts.After that, I backed out and tried again from a blank FigJam board instead (which I believe is the intended workflow for brainstorming/mind maps), but it then said I was out of AI credits and would not let me run the prompt โ so I was unable to generate anything there either.Whatโs confusing is that Iโm seeing conflicting credit information: A banner says: โYour Full seat is out of AI credits until they reset on Jun 12โ But the AI balance panel shows 316 credits remaining, with 0/150 daily credits left and a Jun 30 reset date. The problem is very simple.ย And it makes me go completly crazy ๐When I have various elements, I used to select all and auto layout them. but now it modify automatically the size of the element within the auto layout frame.ย I donโt know how to keep them when Iโm creating an auto-layout.ย ย
I have a design library with styles, tokens, variables, components etc all set up and published.Iโm trying to use this to create a kit in Figma Make but when I choose the design library, when I click in the components folder, it says โno components were extracted from this libraryโ and I donโt know why.

Apparently Iโve been getting charged $20/ month on top of paying an annual subscription. The only way to (maybe) stop getting charged is to change my permissions to โviewโ only. So now I canโt use my own Figma account Iโve been overpaying for.ย ย Their billing UI makes NO sense which I assume is to trick/force me into paying more. I REALLY want a refund for what I was overcharged and my time wasted.

When I try to upload a .ts file to Figma Make, I get the error message "Some file types cannot be uploaded," which links to this FAQ: https://help.figma.com/hc/ja/articles/31722591905559-Figma-Make%E3%81%AB%E9%96%A2%E3%81%99%E3%82%8BFAQJSON files upload fine, and when I check my network settings, it says I can reach all the domains required for Figma to run.Does anyone know how to fix this?
I love the new addition of Figma Motion and itโs exactly what Iโve been looking for. In particular, the ability to export an animated SVG is fantastic and saves me so much time authoring animations โby handโ!ProblemI do however have a problem with the exported files. When I set up my animation in Figma, everything looks great. Exporting it as SVG adds additional transformย attribute to the group, which (if it has animations) completely displaces it by said transform. When I remove the transform attribute from the group, the layout is fixed and resembles what I can see in Figma.I suppose the source of the problem is somewhere in the code that parses the animation set up in Figma and converts it to the SVG animation keyframes. As the keyframes already specify the position / translation, the additionalย transformย on the group moves the entire group an breaks the offsets specified by the keyframes.ExampleMy example uses two rectangles with rounded corners, both of which are within a mask gro
I understand that the Education Plan is intended for educational use.I have one specific licensing question. If I create 100% original vector illustrations and SVG graphics from scratch using Figma (without using Community assets, templates, plugins, AI-generated content, or any third-party resources), am I allowed to upload and sell those original designs on Adobe Stock?Or does the Figma Education Plan prohibit any commercial sale of content created with the Education Plan, even if the work is entirely my own?I would greatly appreciate a clear confirmation so I can fully comply with Figma's license terms.

Hi everyone,Iโm testing the new Figma Motion feature and everything feels very intuitive so far, but Iโm running into an issue with video playback.The Motion animation itself works correctly, but any video used inside the animated frame stays frozen on its first frame. This happens both in the Motion preview and in the exported MP4.At first, I thought the issue might be related to using the video as a background fill. However, I also tried placing the video as its own separate layer/object inside the frame, and the result is the same: the video still does not play. It remains frozen on the first frame.So the issue does not seem to be related to the video being used as a background. It seems more like Figma Motion is treating video fills/video layers as static images.What I have checked so far:The video is inside the animated frame. The video was tested both as a background fill and as a separate layer/object. The Motion keyframes work correctly. The issue happens both in the Motion pre

This charge was unexpected, as I no longer have a need for the service and had intended to cancel the subscription before the renewal date. Unfortunately, I overlooked the cancellation process, and the subscription was automatically renewed.ย Since the renewal, I have not used any of the paid features associated with the Professional plan.
