Summary:Color swatches for aliased variables in the Variables panel show a "?" icon instead of the resolved color — even though the underlying data is fully valid and the color renders correctly everywhere it's actually applied (e.g. a layer's Fill property).Context that may be relevant to the root cause:We use a three-layer token architecture across three variable collections: Primitives (raw values) → Semantics (aliases to Primitives) → Components (aliases to Semantics). The "?" issue only appears on the Components layer — variables that are aliases pointing to OTHER aliases. The Semantics layer, where variables alias directly to hard/concrete Primitive values (not to another alias), does not show this issue. This suggests the bug may specifically affect alias chains with more than one hop, rather than aliasing in general. What we've verified:Full scan via the Plugin API of every alias reference: 100% resolve to valid, existing variables. Zero broken references across 1000+ bindings c

Dear Figma Team,I am an administrator for the "RGI SpA admin" organization. I am contacting you to request assistance with setting the number of seats for the annual renewal. On April 17, 2025, we purchased 15 Full seats and 5 Dev seats for the annual period April 17, 2025 - April 17, 2026 with an organization plan.We later determined that the number of "full seats" was redundant: we are only using 10 full seats, while the other 5 have been in status “available” for long time. Therefore, we would like to downgrade the number of seats for the next renewal.Specifically, we would like to purchase only 10 Full seats and 5 Dev seats for the renewal on April 17, 2026.However, by clicking on the "preview renewals" tab, it is not possible to reduce the number of seats; I can only click on the "confirm renewal estimate" button. Can you help me remove the 5 unused full seats and renew only 10 full seats (in addition to the 5 dev seats which are already correct) ?Best regards,Leonardo Lenzi
Hi everyone, does anyone know how Figma handles AI-content provenance when generating and exporting images? For example, Nano Banana uses SynthID, while other models may use C2PA metadata or Content Credentials. However, I can’t find any Figma documentation explaining:Whether these provenance signals are preserved when an image is exported from Figma, Whether Figma adds its own machine-readable marking, Which standard Figma uses to comply with Article 50(2) of the EU AI ActHas Figma published anything about this, or has anyone tested exports from the different models available in Figma? I couldn't find anything so far?
Hi Figma team,There's a user I don't recognize on my account with a view only seat. I know many Daves, but this person’s email address includes their last name, and I don't know anyone by that name. I'm on the professional plan so I don't have access to activity logs. There is no info in the “last active” column and their join date is “joined prior to tracking”.I've tried clearing my desktop app cache and restarting. I can see this user in the desktop app (Mac version 126.8.16) and Chrome (149.0.7827.201).
Hi, I permanently deleted a file by mistake and I would be very grateful for help recovering it.Account email: [redacted by moderator to remove personal information]Team: [redacted by moderator to remove personal information] (Starter plan)File name: ОбучениеDeleted: 26 August 2026, around 16:50 UTC+3 — moved to trash, then deleted permanently from the trash. The Trash is now completely empty, the file is not visible there. The file contains my design course homework, which I cannot recreate. The AI support chat in the Help Center told me it cannot open an email support ticket for this case.Could someone from the Figma team please check whether this file can still be restored on your side? Any help would mean a lot. Thank you.
Hi Figma team,Right-click suddenly stopped working on the Figma Design canvas on my iPad. It was working normally until yesterday. The important detail is that right-click still works everywhere else in Figma, including the Layers panel and Figma menus. It only does not work directly on the Design canvas.I am using an iPad with a mouse.I have already tried:Refreshing Figma multiple times Completely restarting the iPad Creating and testing with a new Figma account Opening the file in Safari Opening the file in the Figma app Checking that “Ctrl + click opens right click menus” is enabled Disabling “Show Agents on canvas” Trying Ctrl + left-click Trying Command + right-click Trying a long right-clickNone of these solved the problem.Right-click works in the Layers panel, but not on the canvas. This makes normal workflows such as grouping layers, changing layer order, renaming, and other context-menu actions very difficult because I normally use the right-click menu for these operations. This
The Detach instance stopped working idk what happened but i reset the app and the PC it didn’t work and even when i tried to use Figma on Browser the detach didn’t work
When I invite a new user to a Figma team and give them access to the entire project and its folders, the folder contents are not displayed consistently. Some folders appear completely empty, while others only show some of the files. In some cases, all files are visible as expected. The user has editing access to the team/project, but they still cannot see all of the files and folders they should have access to.As a workaround, I have to manually invite the user to individual folders again, even though they already have editing access at the team/project level.
Hi @Figma Support team, I am writing to report an issue regarding access to Figma Agent - Skills (Beta) for my team members on our Professional plan.Although all team members have paid, full-access Professional seats, they are unable to view or access the Skills feature under Figma Agent. For reference: Image 01 (Admin view): Shows the "Agent - Skills" option visible and fully accessible. Image 02 (Team member view): Shows that the option is missing entirely, despite the user having full access permissions. To troubleshoot, I created and published a custom skill directly to our team space to see if it would trigger access for them. However, they are still unable to see or use the published skill.Could you please assist in resolving this permission issue so our team members can access the Figma Agent Skills feature?Img - 01 (Admin Account) Img - 02 (Team account) Thanks in advance!Varun

Hi Figma team,I’m seeing the same issue: the Figma MCP connection works for read tools, but `use_figma` is not exposed.Available tools:- get_metadata- get_screenshotMissing tool:- use_figmaContext:- I’m using Codex with the Figma MCP integration.- The target is an existing Figma Design file, not a FigJam board.- Read access works against the file and target frame.- I’m trying to confirm whether `use_figma` is unavailable because of my current plan/seat, or whether this could be an account-side feature flag issue.Target file:https://www.figma.com/design/c4QoVCrffuIfQbhmRigY6J/Untitled?node-id=1016-3506Target frame:Screen/Messages/Mobile/PrivateChat/AttachmentPanelNode ID: 1536:1428Could someone from Figma confirm the exact plan/seat requirements for `use_figma` write-to-canvas access, and whether Education plan accounts can access it in any setup? Hi,I’m following up on a billing-related issue I raised over a week ago, but I have not yet received a response from the support team.I’m currently unable to complete the payment for Invoice FE62BA8E-0011. To enable our Accounts team to process and settle the invoice, I have requested the following DTAA documents:Form 41 Tax Residency Certificate (TRC) No Permanent Establishment (No PE) DeclarationCould you please review my request and share the required documents at the earliest so that we can proceed with the payment?Given that this has already been pending for more than a week, I would appreciate it if this could be prioritised and resolved as soon as possible.
When copy/pasting a component instance between Figma files, variable bindings on auto-layout padding (and likely gap) are silently dropped and replaced with static values — even though the property still displays a "linked variable" icon in the UI. Other variable-bound properties on the same node (fill, corner radius, typography) retain their live bindings through the same paste. This makes the padding/gap binding appear connected when it is not, and breaks any subsequent "Swap library" action for that property, since there's no live reference left to relink. The padding field still displays a variable-linked icon/pill after paste, visually indistinguishable from a genuinely bound property. Clicking into it opens the variable picker showing "No variables available" — the reference is dead. Fill, corner radius, and typography on the same pasted instance do resolve correctly to their source variable names when clicked, confirming this is isolated to padding (and likely gap/other auto-lay

Our team has been using Figma for about a year. Around 10 days ago, our boards started behaving strangely, and some team members are seeing shaky and skewed images. The design images are 100% correct, and while they display correctly for some team members, they appear distorted for others. I’m attaching examples of the skewed images for reference.
Not seeing MCP Server option in Figma Desktop | Figma Forum I am having the exact same problem in the referenced conversation. I cannot find the option to enable the mcp server even though it is in a profession team’s project on a Dev Seat
Hi! I am curious about a component structure and if possibly Figma has a cleaner solution than my current one.Example: I have a product item in a cart. The product has small tags attached to it, but the product in the prototype may have a variable amount of those tags. One product might have 6 tags, another might have 2.In my original component, I usually add max amount of tags and then just hide the unnecessary ones. Is there any other way to do this dynamic component amount, perchance?Example below:
Multiple members in my team are unable to comment on files, they get an error “figma has restricted commenting”. Please help me with this.
Dear AWS Support Team,We have taken immediate action to secure the affected AWS account. The affected IAM user's console access has been disabled and the compromised access key has been deactivated. We have created a replacement access key and are updating the associated staging application to use the new credentials. We are also reviewing AWS CloudTrail logs for unauthorized activity and have reviewed the account for unexpected IAM resources and AWS service usage, including billing activity. We will delete the compromised access key after confirming that the application is fully operating with the replacement credentials. We will continue monitoring the account and will inform you immediately if we identify any unauthorized activity or unexpected usage.Regards,Ravi
As a content designer, spellcheck in itself is useful to me. But the autocorrect when pressing the tab key is very annoying. In most cases, the error detected is just because it’s a product name or copy in another language, so it doesn’t need to be fixed. But it would always get falsly autocorrected when I press on tab, while I’m just trying to jump to the next editable element. I would be nice to be able to disable that while keeping spellcheck activated.
Hi Figma Team,I would like to ask a refund for a Collaboration Seat, because my team accidentally requested to be a full seat not knowing it will be charged 20$/person. Is it possible to do so?Thanks, Immanuell Russell
Usually, creating a new comment in Figma Design opens the comment bubble and places the cursor inside the input to allow me to immediately start typing.Recently I have noticed that sometimes (I’m not sure exactly what specific scenarios) the cursor doesn’t get placed into the comment bubble. This is hard to notice and the inconsistency makes it annoying as I start typing and then, rather than typing my comment, Figma starts jumping around as my keypresses are registered not as text input, but as UI shortcuts, navigation between boards, changing tools and so on. This then takes several seconds to revert back to how things were and find where I was in my file, and takes my focus off the comment I was trying to make. After this happens, the next comment might be absolutely fine, or it might happen again - there’s no obvious pattern of when it does/doesn’t happen.
