I updated my variables and now my components will not accept the new color variables. As shown here. I can manually reset but I want my variables to work! You can see that the applied variables disagree with the updated variables. Why are my components not inheriting the change?  

Is there a way to duplicate a Make file's code without duplicating the entire chat history? It looks like by default, the chat history is also duplicated when duplicating a Make file. I assume this entire chat history is passed to the LLM with each subsequent entry into the duplicated file’s chat, which presumably wastes tokens.

Hi everyone, I need some help with embedding a Figma prototype.I created two responsive website prototypes in Figma. When I open the prototype link directly in a browser, the interface adjusts correctly depending on the device (desktop or mobile), and everything looks fine.However, I embedded the prototype into a questionnaire (using Tally) to collect design feedback. The problem is that when I open the questionnaire on a desktop, the embedded prototype still appears in the mobile (phone-size) interface instead of switching to the desktop version.Does anyone know how to ensure that the desktop interface is displayed when the questionnaire is opened on a desktop device?For reference, the questionnaire platform I’m using is Tally.Thank you in advance!

How do I get around this? I keep getting “downstream service error” while trying to generate an image and this had happened at least 4 times in a row. 4out of 5 times it only works now. I have reset my connection, opened and closed the tab, nothing seems to be working.

I went through the educational pipeline and used sheer ID to verify.   I didnt have the option to upgrade my team at all.  Went and attempted to do it again, i reached my limit.   I reached out to Sheer ID themselves to talk to their customer support.   Confirmed that I am verified through them through emails.I figured it would take a few days.  Its been 3 days, and I dont have a means to upgrade my Team to Education.  I think something is borked for my Account on Figma?  Id honestly love some help, I am trying to learn and make this a part of my pipeline.I just think that something in the verification pipeline failed to trigger the Figma callback or something, but I dont know who to talk to regarding it. V/R

Hello fellow Figma friends,For the life of me, I can’t understand why I can’t see the MCP setting under Preferences. I can’t see it in Dev Mode or Design mode. Thanks in advance :)  

 After I updated a component in my component library file, all the instances in all other files has turned into an empty frame without any content. It seems if I create a new file, it works fine. But for all my other existing files, there is now just an empty purple box. There are no layers in it. The main component is fine, with content and layers. The only thing I changed on it was auto layout-issues.  How do I avoid having to create new instances in all my files, or create new files for all my files? 

I’m experiencing a recent issue when exporting PNG files from Figma. Even with all elements aligned to the pixel grid (X, Y, width, and height are integers), “Snap to pixel grid” enabled, and no effects applied (like blur, shadow, or feather), the exported images are showing unwanted blur and visual glitches.This did not happen before — it seems to be a new behavior. I’ve already tried exporting at 1× and 2×, using slices, double-checked parent frames, removed auto layout, and ensured everything is aligned — but the problem still occurs.I’d like to know if this is a recent bug, a change in how Figma handles exports, or if there’s any fix I’m missing.

It seems like a synchronization bug between the Variable data and the Canvas renderer.The Problem: When I update the HEX code of a primitive color variable, the changes don’t always reflect on the canvas.Strange behavior observed: The "Split" state: If I select an affected element, the Selection Colors and the Variable Modal show the new color preview. However, the element on the Canvas still renders the old color. Instance vs. Main Component: In some cases, clicking through the layers of an instance or even cutting and pasting the instance back (Cmd+X / Cmd+V) forces a visual refresh. Things were going well until they weren’t. Now, the Preview will crash with certain interactions and troubleshooting/fixing takes me down these crazy rabbit holes for hours with no fix (although the AI is confident that they fixed it and everything should work properly). The other weird thing is that the published app will not crash in those interactions. And, in trying to troubleshoot without going down crazy dependency and pinned version idiosyncrasies, we figured out that there’s something going wrong in the deployment pipeline between the code and the preview/app. i.e.: the updated code is not being reflected in the preview/app. To test simply, I had the AI comment out a field. After refresh, the field is still showing. So, what gives? I’ve been cursing out this poor AI for lying to me and it turns out it’s not their fault. Hello, my friend and I made a D&D adventure inside of Figma for a class project. We had some major issues with it at the end. There are a lot of frames, like 120ish. We’re in college and are on the student account versions.We’ve had some problems with stuttering inside the frames and some animations being cancelled out. But those aren’t the major problem. My major problem is this weird error in my prototyping links that I cannot understand. Every prototyping variable for all the frames work perfectly fine except those. (That I know)When you die in the Boss fight against the Primordial you get the death scene from the Crab fight. At first I thought it was something to do with the Flow Chart order or specifically with the Crab frames. But the Bug fight against the big mantis gives you the death scene from the Snakeman fight. Yesterday we tried to upload a 160-slide presentation, quite large (total size 250 MB). But we couldn't upload it in its entirety, even though we tried multiple times from different devices. We had to split the presentation into 30-slide sections and upload them that way, then combine them. What happens is either some of the slides are damaged, or Figma crashes and asks to reboot, or the file is uploaded, but instead of all the pictures there are purple squares. 

Hi,I am currently working on my portfolio website in Figma Sites. And I'm running into a problem when I hit publish. I am getting a few error messages about unsupported objects from Figjam.  “Figjam Shapes with text not supported; Figjam Connectors not supported” I originally designed the user flow charts in Figjam. But then copied and made them smaller in Figma Design. And then copied & pasted them into Figma Sites. And Figma Sites does not like it. Has anyone run into this problem? And how did you resolve it?

I paid to access dev mode. My card was charged and I can see in Figma I have a Dev seat. But when I click to access dev mode I get the same message telling me I need to ask an admin to enter dev mode? What gives?
