unable to use my rulers properly. horizontal guides not sitting well.

I have been using Figma make for a project and its actually been great, but for the last week (started Monday, currently Friday) I have been getting the same error message! I have plenty of credits.  I have installed the app, restarted my router, called my internet people, logged a help desk reqeust and still no luck. I see a few other people have had the same problem, but there was no solution posted, it just started magically ‘working again’… so I’m hoping this post is the bit of magic I need to get cracking on with my project. 👯 

We are building maps for a wayfinding application. The colors, type, etc are set up as variables, including the line weight of walls. What we’ve found is that while hiding/showing various layers in design mode, the connection to the variable for the line weight breaks - which defeats the purpose of the variable all together.  Not earth shattering, but definitely not helpful.

Hi Figma Support team,I’m running into an issue with unwanted colours appearing in the Design-mode colour picker in Figma Slides, and I’m hoping to understand whether this is expected behaviour or a limitation.Summary of the issueEven after fully cleaning my Slides template so that every element uses only my defined template colour variables, the colour picker in Design mode still shows many extra custom colours that are not used anywhere in the file. These appear to be leftover colours that were automatically created when pasting designs from regular Figma Design files into a Slides file.What I’ve tried I replaced all existing colours with my new template colours I verified that none of the stray colours are used in any layer, component, or style. I also confirmed that this only affects Design mode, not Slides mode, where only the correct template variables appear.

Is everyone around here ever able to use Template styles in Figma Slides? EVERY time we paste a slide from another presentation, it creates a ‘new’ template so we end up with a dropdown full of slightly similar templates styles and it is impossible to delete them unless I switch every culprit style to the ‘main’ style. But doing usually changes things around so we just gave up trying to use them 😭 Here is a screenshot of the dropdown in most of our slide decks: 

Was hoping for some clarity in regards to how credit consumption works with an initial prototype design prompt (20 credits) vs an iteration prompt to refine the result? Similarly, how does the credit consumption work with multi-faceted refinement/iteration prompts vs single task based refinements?Thanks 

Hi everyone,I’m facing a confusing issue. A colleague and I are working on the same Figma file, but our Layers Panels look different.As you can see in the attached screenshot, my colleague can see actual image thumbnails (visual previews) next to the layer names in the panel. On my side, I only see the standard generic icons (like the hashtag for frames or the square for rectangles).We are both using the same file, but I cannot find a way to enable this visual preview. Is there a way to turn this on? Could it be related to the Figma version (Desktop app vs. Browser)? Does it require a specific plugin that I might be missing? It would be very helpful to have this visual guide for organization. Any ideas on why this is happening?Thank you! 

Issue SummaryI'm experiencing severe performance issues in a Figma Make file that has accumulated naerly 700 context versions. The file frequently freezes, becomes unresponsive, and consumes credits at an unusually high rate, making it nearly impossible to continue working.What I've Tried- Using the desktop app instead of the browser (still laggy)  - Clearing cache and performing hard refreshes  - Avoiding large batch prompts – the problem persists  Root Cause (Suspected) The excessive number of Make conversation versions appears to be the main bottleneck. After using Figma’s “Make AI” feature for ca. 10 prompts, my credits dropped significantly to 1,220. Notably, my last prompt alone consumed 136 AI credits, which is unusually high.For context, this level of usage is extremely high compared to other AI tools we currently use. Under our Pro Plan, 3,000 AI credits should equate to roughly 30 prompts based on the current credit logic. Even when considering higher-tier plans, the numbers still appear disproportionate:Organization Plan: ~35 prompts × 100 AI credits Enterprise Plan: ~42–43 promptsAdditionally, 2–3 months ago, AI credit consumption was much more consistent and transparent. I recently faced a major issue while launching my website built with Figma Make. I am unable to log into my company's Figma account after my long leave. It asked for an authentication code or sent an SMS for two-factor authentication. However, I am unable to receive an authentication SMS on my phone.Since my work account got blocked, can not login post my topic, I used my personal account to add a comment to the ticket.I already opened a support ticket (#1815278 with my working account) on your official support website long time. But I haven’t received any response yet in my work inbox. Could you please help check on this and escalate this issue with our support team to get this fixed for on priority?

Hi Figma Team,I am writing to report a critical issue with the code generation feature for React. There is a persistent compatibility/import error being generated in the code (specifically failing to resolve "motion/react" in Vite).Because of this specific React connection issue, the AI attempted to resolve the error multiple times in a loop. As a result, it consumed all of my available AI credits, and the error still persists.To keep my website running, I had to completely revert to a previous version. However, this means I am now entirely blocked. If I try to make any new changes or updates to the page, the system triggers the exact same React error, fails to compile, and unfairly consumes more credits without applying the updates.Summary of the impact: Bug: Generated code fails with Vite internal server errors regarding motion/react.

Hi, would love any help and support possible from the community. I have been using Figma Make constantly for the past 3 months to build an app idea that I have.  Yesterday at 5pm PST figma Make stopped accepting my prompts, it goes from “Thinking”, to “Summarizing chat history….” and then times out with a internet connection error.  My internet is working great, speed tested using other apps.  I am still connected to Supabase and the app still displays and works on the figma screen.  I can’t use the AI Chat at all and am at a standstill.I also noticed yesterday in Figma Make that after my prompts and Figmas response, I use to have a version number of the updated version.  All of a sudden yesterday before this issue I don’t have version numbers anymore.  I have an up thumb, down thumb, and ai icon shat shows how many AI credits I used.Complete side note.  I have been told that my account will start tracking AI credits as of tomorrow.I am not tecnic

Hi! I just upgraded to pro but was signed in on another email that I don’t use. Can I get a refund as I’m going to sign up on the account I actually use. 

Tried making payment using my Visa card, but I couldn't make the payment. It didn't accept my card for no reason.Please keep alternative payment. gateway because now everything is paid in Figma so if you only accept Visa, Mastercard, or AX credit cards, it's not going to work for all.I'm from India. Please keep UPI payment method, or debit cards. It will help a lot with payment.Common Figma dont  just make money. Think Big.

The majority of my Figma make files are presenting Something Went Wrong Errors with a request ID. I am unable to make changes to these either via the prompt window.

Hi, I've encountered a problem: when I access Figma from my project through its mcp server, after a while I hit the request limit and am asked to wait 3-4 days. This happens despite me specifying which nodes to look for. How can I solve this problem? And how figma will fix it in the time of using different ai mcp’s

To whom it may concern, This has been an ongoing issue for over three days, but to enumerate the issue I’m having:I attempted to create an account with my college account for a course I am currently taking. On first attempt, I accidentally mistyped my email, yet passed verification, and seemingly Figma sent a verification email to the incorrect address I provided. On second attempt, I entered my correct .edu address, passed the verification captcha, and get immediately returned to the log-in screen with the error message “Your request has failed.” I have now attempted to create my account on 3 browsers (Firefox/Librewolf, Edge, and Brave) with no success. I disconnected my phone from Wi-Fi to attempt to make the account with a new IP, with no success. I attempted to have a classmate create the account for me, so that I could receive the verification email and change the password, and they were met with the same “
