Help! My file was deleted and I can’t find it in Trash

Hi everyone,I really need help with an urgent issue. One of my important files was deleted by someone, but I can’t find it in my Trash folder. Restore Permanently Deleted File

I work at a company and someone on my team deleted my files. I tried checking the trash but couldn't find it, and no one on my team made a backup. I contacted support and created multiple tickets in every way possible just to get my files back. All my tickets are tagged "resolved" but no resolution or contact has been made. I really need this file because I have to submit it by the end of this month and I don't have any backups of any of the pages. If anyone can help, please get in touch.Link file : link

Responsive Desgin Issues with a Component

Hey Folks,  i have a responsive Design Problem according a Component in my Design. Its the Teamslider at the very end of this onepager. Figma Make preview is blank

I just started using Figma Make yesterday to create a user journey map. It’s awesome how it pads it out with realistic data. I shared the link with a few people yesterday. Some could see the preview, some could not. Today, whilst working on the file, I went to code view, then back to preview, and all I see is a blank page. I’ve refreshed the preview, reloaded the tab, duplicated the file, restarted Figma, restarted my laptop, and cleared my cache. Nothing works. I’ve even started again in a new file, with a new prompt, and still no preview. What else can I try?

I have lost access to my Gmail account, which was linked to my Figma account. Unfortunately this means I can no longer log in to Figma. Slides in a4 format

Hi everyone,I’ve started working with Figma Slides, and I noticed the default slide size is always in a 16:9 ratio. For my current project, I need the slides to be in A4 format (portrait or landscape) because the presentation will be displayed in A4 size, not in widescreen.Is there a way to change the slide size in Figma Slides to match A4 dimensions directly? Or do I have to design in a regular Figma Design file with A4 frames and then present from there?I’d appreciate any tips or workarounds to keep the workflow inside Figma Slides while using the A4 format.Thanks in advance!

Need Help with Complex Conditional Prototyping

Hi everyone 👋I’ve been trying to create a “multi-select services builder”, where there are four types of services and depending on what combination of services you select, the respective plan card shows below.Ex: When you select Internet, Mobile, and TV services, you will see an “Internet + Mobile + TV” plan card below the toggles.I managed to utilize boolean variables and conditional prototyping to get to the point of showing the card swapping when selecting Internet and Mobile. However, I have to take into account what cards will show when selecting other variations of services. It’s also complex because the toggles (how you would select each service) have a selected/unselected state on click that I have to take into consideration. I did try connecting the Mobile selected state to the MobileSelected boolean variable and Internet selected state to the InternetSelected boolean variable, but the conditional prototype doesn’t seem to work when I have the variables set to false by defaul

Can't hug

Even though the max value is not set in the H container size of the text in the auto layout state, it is not hug more than a specific size. I can hug up to 3 lines, but I can't hug from 4 lines.The top layers are all hug too so why is this?

How to Get Linear Gradient from Figma MCP via Cline

Cline (vibe coding tool) is insisting that Figma MCP cannot provide gradient values, and is telling me the only way for it to grab gradient values is by guessing from a screenshot or having me provide directly. I can’t imagine this is the case-- or is that accurate?

[Bug] Whyte font is missing from Slides template

This is just a bug report (if this belongs somewhere else happy to submit this there) The Mobile Product Review Slides template uses Whyte as the title font but that’s unavailable for most users. I’ve been using IBM Plex Serif as a replacement, but anyway, worth changing so users don’t run into this bug in the future.

What happened to the "Can view prototypes only" permission?

Hello dear Community, As we’re continuously working with clients, our team was really fond of the setting “can view prototypes only”: sometimes we would invite specific people to view a prototype, other times we would allow anyone with the link and password to view the prototypes. This allowed us to be sure not to share the actual design file with the client (sometimes because they wouldn’t need it, or because we would prepare a specific file for the client). Here is a screenshot I found online for reference: We recently figured out that Figma updated the Share modal: So, the text in the bubble seemed clear, but then the settings texts just got me a bit confused, I guess it’s because they use similar wording which might seem contradicting at a first glance (keep in mind my team and I are not native English speakers): Furthermore, we got quite overwhelmed as we’re working with files which are 2+ years old and those are shared with clients, therefore we wanted to check if any settings

Slides: Link to specific slide

When sharing, I would love to be able to specify a specific slide to link to. This will allow more fine tune sharing. If the url was appended with something like “slide-1” it would allow for us to create dynamic and easily editable links in our Airtable as well. We are using slides as a creative review workflow and this would help us tremendously!

Unable to Re-verify Education Status - School Not in SheerID List

Hi everyone,As deadline for re-verifying our Education status (29 September) is coming up, I’m very worried our team may not complete it in time, which could impact ongoing design projects. Our issue: VUS (Vietnam-USA Society English Centers) does not appear in the Vietnam academic institutions list during the SheerID verification step. Because of this, we cannot proceed with re-verification for Figma Education. I submitted a support ticket to SheerID last week asking to have VUS added to the schools list. However, the response I received did not resolve the issue (screenshot attached).SheerID Customer Support responseHas anyone faced a similar problem, or does anyone know the best way to resolve this quickly? Color variables won't map

We had our DSM broken into two parts, one for colors and the other for everything else. Not sure why, just how it’s always been. I’ve spent the entire day trying to disconnect the colors one and consolidate them. The color variables are now in the right place, I can see it myself. But it won’t let me publish them. It will publish changes to the variables list, such as a new collection or a renaming, but the colors don’t show up for us anywhere in any other files. I’m completely lost.

Lost Figma File, No URL, Not deleted by me

Hi! I created a Figma file last week. I was able to view it last Friday but when I’m looking at it today, Sunday, suddenly it’s gone. It’s not in the Drafts, not in the Recently Deleted Drafts as well. I unfortunately do not have a URL as I didnt share it with anybody. Is there anyway I can still find it? REST API file and file nodes endpoint with pathfix rate limit error (429)

Hi everyone,I'm developing an app feature that requires importing a Figma file and its nodes to create a hierarchy navigation tree. The goal is to register user clicks and analyze data from the Figma prototype.My process involves traversing all possible nodes to identify those with navigation actions.I'm running into a significant issue with large Figma files containing hundreds of thousands of nodes. When I try to process these files, I frequently hit the API rate limit and receive a 429 "Too Many Requests" error.I've already tried a few things: I switched from fetching the entire file at once to fetching nodes individually. This helped with smaller files, but the 429 error still occurs with complex designs. I've checked the Figma API documentation and am aware of the rate limits, but the volume of my requests doesn't seem to exceed the typical per-minute limit. This suggests the issue might be related to the sheer size or complexity of the file itself, rather than just the number o

What's the best way to ensure access to files owned by someone who is leaving the organization?

I’ll be leaving my organization soon. Before I leave, I want to make sure that everyone in my Figma org can continue working off of files that I own. I’m not an admin either. I also want to make sure that current viewers of my files who do not hold Figma seats can also retain access to my files. How do I do this? Would it be as simple as moving all my files into a new Project shared by the rest of the team? Thank you.

Batch "Hide from publishing" with multiple components selected

Currently, the only way to hide components from publishing is to individually right-click each one at a time from within the assets navigator. When this needs to be done for a large number of components, it is extremely tedious.It would be ideal to allow multiple components to be selected at once in the assets navigator such that right clicking the selection allows for the set of components to be hidden from publishing (or shown when publishing, if already hidden).
