Hey everyone!Our team has built a multi-brand design system that supports three different brand themes, each with both light and dark modes.All our icons are created as unions. This helps preserve the color override when an icon is swapped inside a component. For example: all icons use the “icon” color variable by default, but within a success inline message component, the icon is overridden with the “icon-success” color variable (green), as the icon should always be green in that context. Swapping, say, a checkmark icon with “icon-success” applied for a shield icon retains the correct “icon-success” variable. So far, so good.However, when we re-theme the inline message component from Brand 1 to Brand 2, the icon switches to a different brand-specific variant from the icon component set. Has anyone from the Figma team explained why the Remote MCP exposes creation tools (such as generate_figma_design and create_new_file), while the Desktop/Local MCP is mostly limited to design-context/read tools?Is this an intentional product/architecture decision, or are there plans to bring those capabilities to the Local MCP as well?

I am designing the UI for a puzzle game in Figma, but I'm finding it difficult to make the gameplay feel interactive during prototyping. Simple click-through prototypes don't really capture drag & drop mechanics, block placement, or the overall game feel.How do you approach this in Figma? I've created a mask with two components: a picture and a filled rectangle.In the Desktop, in the fill property, I use the Solid component for the color and the pattern component with the mask described earlier.For some reason, it is displayed correctly in the editor, but when I switch to the preview mode, the pattern was still gone. I tried both the desktop version and the web version.The result is the same. Help with solving the problem please😢

I am having trouble with a PDF file exported from Figma. I created it using a 1080:1920 aspect ratio. The file size is 13 MB, but Adobe Reader and web browsers struggle to open it. I have tried adjusting the settings to lower the quality, but the file remains difficult to open.

It look like this on drag. Check the link belowSo I made a carousel slider for a product card. It use to work fine but now it just weird. Instead of transition to the next card, it become the next card and the actual next card fade away. This might be smart animate misunderstand. I tried rename, redo, testing everything but nothing work.This is how I make the carousel:1. The card and their variants (name them 1-4)2. The card container (contain a big and a small variant)3. Create 4 instance of the card container, auto layout and paste them in a frame (convert to component)4. Add variants, then position them. Hello guys, first time publishing here. I’m looking for a Design Community File of Information Architeture (or something like that) that looks like the images below. I don’t have acess to the original file and can’t find any resource on the community that looks like that.It is very helpfull to me to work on some low-level aprovements and stuff. 

I’m trying to find a plugin for exporting variables. I was very happy with Variables2css because it has alias fallbacks. But it won’t run at all if the file has extended collections. I then went down a wormhole trying to find another plugin, but all of the ones I tried (i must have tried like 6 of them) return “0 variables” or otherwise empty for the extended collections. I wanted to use Figma’s native export but it only outputs JSON, not CSS.

just need help , I know it’s not big , but if you can make both in same alignment?

For the second month in a row, Figma Make has consumed credits without producing any usable output. Instead, the project appears to revert to its previous state.I reported this issue previously, but the response from customer support was generic and did not confirm whether the technical team was able to identify the cause. Instead, I was told the issue was likely related to my internet connection, despite there being no conclusive evidence supporting that explanation.Figma has also refused to refund the credits consumed during these failed attempts, even though no usable output was produced. This means I am being charged for a service that was not successfully delivered.At this point, I would not recommend Figma Make until the product becomes more reliable and Figma adopts a more reasonable approach to resolving credit-related issues. It is a valuable tool when it works properly, but the continued loss of credits without receiving the expected output is making the service increasingly

I am a physical product designer who is newly developing a design workflow system for my team on Figma. We previously use Google slides because our work is very visual based. the flexible commenting and image placement was very valuable. But, Figma will help us better organize and track a products conception and development, and why some didn't make the cut.  Let me be clear, these Figma design resources will never become actual user sites or interfaces, they are simply being used as a method of internal organization and record keeping for the design process. But, it also needs to have a presentable element for meetings for team feedback on designs in addition to the overall design development. I also have no prior Figma experience. I have the attached table. Each number is a separate layer. All numbers were 1000. I wanted to have them random numbers. when I prompt this in replace content - Figma only changes one text layer. For example out of ten text layers of 1000 it will change one to 356 and leave all the others at 1000.any help appreciated - currently not impressed at all with this ‘feature’

Hi everyone,I'm running into an issue when exporting designs from Figma for print, and I'm curious if anyone else has experienced something similar.The colors in Figma look exactly as expected, and the exported PDF also appears correct when viewed on screen. However, once I print the PDF, the colors become slightly dull, gradients don't look as smooth, and some thin elements appear lighter than expected.To rule out a printer hardware issue, I printed several diagnostic printer test pages, and everything looked normal.
