When I start Figma, everything remains fine for 5 minutes, but when I start working in Figma, the screen may turn off for a while and then turn on again, or sometimes it may go out completely. Only reboot helps.(((
The i5-11400 processor is responsible for displaying images on the monitor. Help me, I’m sick of this problem, I can’t work normally(((

Hi @Peter Zhezhu,  Thanks for reaching out about this.

We’d like to gather a bit more detail so we can help troubleshoot the issue with you. Could you please check the following:

  • Does this occur only in the Desktop app, only in a supported browser, or in both?
  • Does the issue also occur when you’re on a different network, such as a mobile hotspot?
  • If you visit webglreport.com using a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge), does it show that WebGL is enabled?
  • Can you verify that your OS and graphics card drivers are up to date? For graphics card, you might need to download the latest drivers directly from your manufacturer. Once you update, please restart your computer.

If the issue continues in Chrome browser after checking the above, some users have reported that disabling hardware acceleration can help prevent the issue. You can try the following:

  1. Go to chrome://settings/system
  2. Toggle off  “Use hardware acceleration when available”

If the issue still persists, I recommend filing a bug report through our support form here. When you do, please include the following information:

Thanks so much for your patience and for helping us troubleshoot this. We appreciate your cooperation!

Far shot, but maybe this helps: I have something similar, but never thought it was only Figma causing it. I work on a HP ZBook (G8, Core i7-11850H, NVIDIA RTX A3000 GPU) connected to an Apple Studio Display. Usually works fine, but sometimes the same happens: Monitor turns off, with a little luck it turns on again but else the only thing you can do to bring it back is reboot.

I've found this only happens when the ZBook is powered by the Thunderbolt cable of the Studio Display. When I also hook up the power brick of the ZBook, it does not seem to happen. Also, when booting the laptop with a battery level < 90% and not connected to the power brick, the Studio Display does not turn on at all.

So I guess in my case it's something like the Thunderbolt charging not being able to supply enough power on a peak load (as Figma can cause) and the display or laptop deciding to power the screen off. Perhaps your problem can also be solved similarly.
