I have been facing issue with sharing my Figma app during screenshare in Google Meet in Mac.
As shown in the 2 screenshots. I’ve used GT America Compressed in 1 and GT America Extended in the other. Both fonts are part of the same family but there is no way for a developer to distinguish between them. Is there any way to fix this bug?
I’ve just spend AGES creating loads of variables and applying them throughout my file, and all of a sudden they’ve pretty much all vanished. I had loads of number variables set up for sizes, and being used throughout my document, and now there’s only one left in each group. Help!
size of PDF exported is large(1.2Mb) for simple text frame. When i tried to edit in the acrobat, bounding boxes around elements are appearing as straight lines. I feel this has something to do with large sizes being exported
Description I have a Primitives collection where I store raw colors. Two modes exist, Dark and Light. As the name implies, it only stores the color scale and associated color value (see first screenshot). Then I have a Tokens collection where I store colors according to their intent. Again, two modes exist, Dark and Light. Each intent references a color from the Primitives collection, ideally matching the appropritate mode (see next screenshot). Problem I have not found a way to create a primitive-to-token variable reference in the secondary mode. The Light mode primitives just don’t appear on the library selection menu (see next screenshot). I think this is a common enought pattern. Am I missing something or is this functionality not implemented?
I’m using the Variables Endpoints on the REST API to create variables and set variable mode values On a previous file, I’d created 1 collection with several variables using the UI. I believe our designer duplicated this file to make updates. The new file is our current working version On the new file In the UI, If I explore ‘Local Variables’, there is a default collection, with no variables present However if I use the Get local variables endpoint on this file, I see the same collection as on the previous file with the same variables. If I change the name of the collection on the previous file, it is not reflected on what the API returns for the new file If I try to use the API to delete this collection I get a 400 error Cannot update or delete a remote variable collection So my goal is to remove the collection and it’s variables from this new file. I’m confused how to accomplish this, or where the remote variable collection exists. Also want to prevent one of these remote collection
Hello, we have a couple projects in production that use this endpoint to retrieve images from a particular Figma document. Up until yesterday, everything was working as expected. We recovered the node ID of the element containing the Image and then we used the endpoint (GET /v1/images/:key?ids=1:2,1:3,1:4) to recover them. Yesterday morning we received a message from our clients saying that the images for their project were not being added correctly. We started testing and realised that the endpoint was returning the following message: status: 200, { "err": null, "images": { "I1111:56472;2:2936": null } } We spend the day testing and we believe that it happens when you try to recover an image from a Copy or instance of an original element. We basically create a copy or instance of original components to form a newsletter, edit the content (texts, images) and then recover information from them. It was working correctly for months up until yesterday, so what changed?
I got a table with lines and the top head of the table I set to Sticky Top But when scroll the table, instead of go behind the top head it goes on front And as well it is in autolayout, if I move the layer to top, it goes to the bottom of my table I know I also could do a hack, create a separated component for the top of the table, but each time that I need to change a column in the table data I would have to match that in the top head in a separated component Don’t know if it already have this or we should request feature
i would like to create a plugin which works like a template and adds a specific page structure aswell as already a bunch of content (Components, Frames etc.)h
After moving my component Library to another file(by cut and paste), and publishing it, I lost my library and all instances were not attached to a master component anymore. I tried a “Restoring an earlier version of the file’s version history” option. After restoring, all components are good, they are like before moving them, and all instances are attached to my Library, but there is a request in the “Publish Library” to publish all “Added” new components. And if I publish them, all instances lose their connection with the master. It is written “Restore a Component” after publishing. It looks like even if I go back to earlier version of my file, Publish history remembers everything and my previous version of components library is lost. Is there a way I can have my library back with all instances attached to the master component?
Is there a way to get rid of the white space on top of the prototype when scroll back up? Prototype: Result:
Please help me to recovery my permanently deleted Figma file by accident. I had post my submission in official site and reply my team name and the owner of this team. This file means a lot to me.
Hello, I’ve been trying to publish a file for two weeks now, even tried to send a request for this error to the Figma team, but they’re not answering. My community file is not appearing online even when it shows that my resource is live. Do you happen to have any idea of what’s going on?
All of our organization’s guests’ seats were changed from Full to Viewer. We still don’t know why. However, when we clicked on the Request Full Access button, despite our admin approving each request, our seat access continues to show “Request sent” (as if approval had not yet been granted). Any thoughts on what’s going on?
I am working on setting up color variables and token for my Figma library, I have 2 set of color libraries and have set up both of them and mapped them correctly but only one of them shows under the token section. Can someone please help me figure out why?
I haven’t used my account for a while and today I login and see that I can only create 3 files. Whats going on?
I want to create continuous logo rotating animation, so I used this setting: After delay: 1ms, smart animate, linear 300ms.
I hope to enable the textreview function while also being able to use other features of the plugin.
I have some images, set to “scroll with parent”. On top of these I have my menu bar, which is set to fixed. The images all have components connected to them (open overlay), and those components are set to appear when the user hovers over the image. However, the overlay covers the fixed menu bar no matter what I do. I need the overlay to go under the fixed menu bar. How would I fix this?
Hello, I’m grappling with animations in Figma and trying to figure out how to manage Auto Layout. My issue is that when I animate elements that change size, I can’t seem to maintain the control I desire. Is there a correct method for animating with Auto Layout without deactivating it? I like to create a prototype that is responsive and easily modifiable, and it’s crucial for me to keep Auto Layout active. I would appreciate any advice or solution you can offer! Thank you in advance for your availability.
How do you create custom shortcuts for actions that are NOT in the toolbar menu? Example, for the shortcut “go up to parent layer/group”, the shortcut is SHIFT + ENTER. This action isn’t in the toolbar menu anywhere… so my question is, how can I assign a custom keyboard shortcut in Mac?
Hi, My company has a Design System for almost all project, but there is a problem: each project has its own Primary (Accent) color palette. As far as I know, it is impossible to reuse the published Design System using local styles (local colors). Am I missing any Figma feature or do I have to create local components for each individual project? In my case the components in the published library are interactive ones. Is there any way to set the Primary color dynamically in the library, that will bind with destined project file?
Hi there! We ran into an issue where designers with editor access see one font weight in the inspect panel, but developers selecting the same text layer see a different font weight in the inspect panel. Any ideas regarding how or why this is happening, and which is correct? Screenshots below (had to redact some info): Developer view: Editor view: Thank you in advance for your help!
I’m working on a carousel that has a delay animation. The component has 3 states, each one has a different section of text. However, on animation the text isn’t displayed as expected. The second section contains the text of the first section and so on. Anybody know what the issue could be? File: Prototype:
I’ve created a dropdown component that uses text properties for the list member labels, so that when I create an instance I can update the property to whatever text I want displayed for that instance. The drop down component is the parent of a list component, which is in turn the parent of multiple list option components. The problem I am having is that when I create an instance of the component from the Assets view on one of my designs, and I update the text properties to the values I want displayed in the dropdown, those values do not show in the preview. When the dropdown is expanded it shows the default labels stored in the text properties of the parent component and not the instance I created. Any guidance is appreciated.
