Today Figma announced that there does not have to be an extra text style for bold, italic and underline. It can be used directly with shortcuts on the text. I am very happy! I have now applied this to my components. But when I want to use the instances, they are not Bold even though the components are Bold. Is this a bug?

I had one initial Figma file that held my variables and components, I decided to switch them to a new Figma file meant for my Design System. As I am creating/adjusting components in my new Figma file, I am seeing this “Used Variables” option under Layer to change between Light/Dark mode. I have searched EVERYWHERE and I cannot for the life of me figure out where it is coming from. I have come to the conclusion this is a bug when moving components to a new Figma file. I come to this conclusion because if I add the initial Figma file as a Library in the new Figma file, the name changes from “Used Variables” to the name of the initial Figma file, as if those variables are still coming from the initial Figma file. This is providing such an awful UX for myself and design team, almost to the point I either need to recreate my entire component library or switch from Figma. Hello everyone, I am not an expert of Figma, I only use it to create website based on the work of a graphist. Everytime I want to download an image, it download a zip file with like 2-3 subfiles for example: Layout, 10, image. How can I just download what I need without all the files included ? Thanks a lot !

Right now, drafts have moved into the team. However, the default access setting for new files is set to “anyone can view”. I can’t find where to change the default setting to “only invited people”. Does anyone have any ideas?

I set the access to “Organisation ABC,” and it shows that “Org members can access this file via link or through the file browser.” However, people are still being prompted to request access to the file. Can a button be created that changes to a pressed state when you press it and then navigate to another frame after a short delay? I’m developing a mobile app and need my buttons to have a pressed state before navigating to another frame. I am trying to resemble a real-world app, following the M3 material design guidelines I tried making a component with both variants of the button (“default” and “pressed”), so when the default is clicked it changes to the “pressed” variant, and the “pressed” variant changes back to the “default” state after a delay. Hello All, I created 4 same designs but with different frame sizes, each frame size is perfectly responsive. is there any way to mix these 4 together, for example when i resize the mixed frame, the layout automatically get responsive. to sum it up, when i need to handle the frame for the designer, i want to give him only one frame not the 4. In previous version of Figma, we were able to easily uninstall the plugins by just right-clicking on the plugin name from the list and clicking on the “Uninstall Plugin” button. Ever since the new update came out, they disabled the Action menu for the plugins. Now, I can’t even uninstall boring/faulty plugins that I installed. Can anyone please tell me where they hid the Uninstall button so I can remove those plugins?

I’m encountering an issue maintaining consistent visual styles for components in a parent frame. The parent frame contains identical, duplicated components. The components scroll within the parent frame. Those components that are initially visible in the frame display their visual design attributes correctly. But when scrolled, the components that were located outside the initial viewport (requiring scrolling to be seen) lose some of their visual styling. You’ll notice that the fourth component does not look like the rest. All components below the fourth look like the fourth, which they shouldn’t/ What am I missing? Here’s the link to the project

Im having an annoying issue with my text hight changing. For example: my “paragraph/regular” style is set up to have a hight of 26, this makes it easy to align things. but as soon as I apply this style to an area in a component variant the hight change to 27. anyone else have this issue?

It’s known the text line hight it’s a nightmare. However, I’m struggling with the text box hight even more with Figma Auto Layout. When giving “padding” on Figma auto-layout to a button, the text position (inside the box, not the box) is not in the centre height. In the following example, you can see that in one font type there is 2 px space at the bottom and 1 at the top and in the other one, 2px at the top and 1 at the bottom. That’s led to; 1, the text is not in the centre height, 2, the padding is getting extra which then lead to the wrong implementation. Later on CSS, the text div won’t behave like that and will wrap right around the text. The ideal is that the space (padding) above and below the text is even and exactly as set in the padding. Is anyone have a solution for this challenge?

Hi there, I’m curious as to how I would go about creating clickthrough links on the individual pop ups I created in Figma. I’m utilising a map results section that is designed as a pop up carousel. I want to make each pop up it’s own clickthrough link to that particular venues overview screen. I want the clickthrough to live directly on the individual pop up/image components themselves. Anyone have an idea on how to do this?
