How do I upload a sepecific font? Saw a page and couln’t work it out.

The text tool, instead of working how it normally does, suddenly stopped working. The already types texts all somehow became locked, I couldn’t do anything but delete them. On clicking them, a small box with ‘A?’ written on it was visible, I’m not sure what that was supposed to mean. After deleting them, I’ve been trying to type something else, but nothing shows except these blue dotted line. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Ok, I did a search and my “GoogleFu” is failing me on this one. I’m sys Admin for my company and I need to deploy Figmasetup centrally (using intune). Got it all set up and tested on my device, no issue, it also works for my boss. But everyone else gets the “Failed to Extract Installer” message. The difference, I and my boss have local admin privs on our machines, standard users do not. Hi everyone! I wanna make fixed position overlay. I found the similar topics but could not find solitions. What I want to do is -When users hover a list, the list change the colour (I created variant component). -At the same time, the detail of the list appears on the light of the list. -The lists scroll vertically, but the detail stays fixed. Facing an issue with the dev mode seat. The user with the dev mode seat access but cannot view the code tab in the dev mode options; only the properties tab is showing. Hi, I’m interested to know if anyone has ever had a similar problem and how were you able to solve it? The bottom line: When prototyping through a component (for example, navigation between pages), wild lags occur during the viewing mode. If you don’t connect frames to each other, then everything works fine. P.S. The computer is good, there is almost no load on the processor / RAM, the Internet (wired/ wi-fi). Looking for help creating a similar experience to this sites hero: https://thewalters.org Essentially I have a video for my hero and I want to upon scroll have the video transfer to a blurred out / gradient version with some text over top and CTAs. I have it set up currently where it scrolls into a gradient with a blur, but this just looks like a scroll and doesn’t feel snappy or clean. Wondering how I could set up the frames and gradients to do something pretty close to that site exactly in Figma, preferably making it even cleaner and allowing the interaction to give more prominence to the CTAs I will have

When right-clicking on a boolean property (toggle or show/hide), I am taken to the Text property instead. I assume this is a bug? I was trying to edit the name of the boolean property - which you can edit from the Properties pane on the main component, so this isn’t a blocker, just weird / unexpected / inconsistent behavior.

My app background is the same colors as guidelines of figma so when i haold an element or component i can’t see the distance or pixels , so how to change the colors of guide lines?

I request to get a file using https://api.figma.com/v1/files/${fileId}. I then request to get the styles: https://api.figma.com/v1/files/${fileId}/nodes/?ids=${styleNodes}. However, in response to the nodes API request, I noticed multiple styles returned with the same name. In my case, I get many text styles with the same name. If I look at the Figma file, I only see the text style in question listed once. Although the names are duplicated, the details, such as line-height, are different. Any ideas on why I would get multiple local styles with the same name?

There are too many instances where the concept of a “Plugin” and a “Library” contradict one another. If you search for “Icon” plugins, you get a list of 100 plugins, but with the exception of a handful of plugins that actually do something, they’re all actually content libraries and most of them are from one provider, Icon Duck. This is pretty common for other similar elements as well. There should be a distinction between what gives you access to ready-made elements and those that actually do something, editing existing content or generates new content from User input. You need to give us a filter to reduce the sheer volume of plugins available. If I need content, that’s easy, but if I need tools to help me generate icons, that’s more important in my opinion, there are a billion free icon libraries out there and I don’t think for the most part they need to be a plugin. It’s the design equivalent to a meeting that should have been an email or a mobile app that should have been a mobile

Hey there, I was hoping to get some guidance. I call this async function to get a list of team libraries used with the team file where i’ve enabled them in the UI beforehand. It returns a list of 3 which is great but I was expecting 6 libraries? Why does the Dev Mode inspect panel look and function different depending on on a user’s access type (view / Dev Mode only vs edit access)? What my devs see in Dev Mode (without edit access): What I see in Dev Mode (with edit access): As you can see, these look different for some reason. The most troubling for me is that the code syntax added to variables don’t show when the user doesn’t have edit access (which is all of our devs, they don’t need edit access) and so they get no benefit from that code syntax. As far as I can tell, everywhere that Dev Mode is documented in help.figma.com shows the panel as if the user has edit access and doesn’t show or touch on how it differs if the user does not have edit access. Is this intentional? If so, why and why is it not documented?

A while ago I got a prompt that the outline stroke shortcut was now going to show outlines in one of the Figma updates. The dialog asked if I wanted to have it show outlines (new way) or keep it as outlining stroke (old way). I was clicking too fast and chose the new way, and now regret my choice. Is there any way to make Cmd+Shift+O outline strokes instead of showing outlines again?

Hey Figma Family! I need a little help. I have put together a web site design and am having issues when I view it in a browser. When I click on ‘Present’ to open my design in the Figma browser > Share Prototype > Copy Link and then open the link on my iPhone, when I scroll down to look to see how the design looks and make changes, it constantly crashes and the page refreshes. I’ve had a look on the Figma Forum and other people are having the same issue? Is there something I can do to my frame design to stop this? I believe the issue is something to do with browser memory? Obviously I cannot send this link to the client for feedback/approval with it constantly crashing. I have spent a couple of weeks learning Figma and putting together 2 web designs. My Manager is looking to purchase the software, for our team, and needs reassurances that there will be no issues going forward. Do I need to do something to my frame before I look at it in a browser? Is the issue something in my page
