Hello everyone, I’m currently busy testing Figma slides and so far I’m thrilled. When I go into presentation mode (app, not browser), I still see the Figma UI, especially the tabs at the top, the viewers as well as I don’t want to be distracted by the tabs at the top. Is there any way to hide these somehow? All the best! Tony

Hello there, I am trying to use the TeleportHQ plugin for my Figma project, but whenever I click “Export as new project” and selecting my work, I get an error that says “Could not create project. Try again please”. I would really like to use this plugin for my website, but the problem seems unsolvable. I would love some help 🙂 More information: I am using Figma premium and I have tried on both the desktop and the web browser Figma version. Thanks

Why do all the clickable elements of Figma’s right menus NOT change the mouse pointer to a hand? It’s default, standard, expected behaviour. The hand mouse pointer indicates clickability, it would give some feedback that something is clickable if the mouse pointer showed the hand variety. (EDIT: I just upgraded and saw that hover effects are finally more liberally used than previously was the case. At least that has improved.) Minimalistic might appear cool, but please, not at the expense of usability. Especially given that this is a UX tool!

Do students have to register for my team in order to use my figjams? I just came to FigJam since Jamboard is being closed down and I’m trying to get used to using it. I used to be able to post a link on my Canvas page and the students could open it up and use it. I would prefer to do that without having them sign up for my team FigJam. Sometimes, I don’t want one class to see the link until I start using it in class. For example, if I’m asking them to brainstorm evidence to support a thesis, I don’t want them opening up what an earlier class did and seeing their answers. Can I just have a link that I share with them at the right time without their joining my team?

Dear all, I am new to Figma, I have done pretty good by creating variable based prototypes however I am stuck in creating responsive design that should work on each screen size, I have created responsive components for Desktop version and they are responsive till screen size changes to 1100-900px however for tablet and mobile size, will I have to create separate components or I can use wrap property to create one responsive component but when I set the out Frame to Fixed width and wrap and its childs to fill container and gives it min width of 800px, they do not wrap and get a messed up layout? what is the best way to design responsive page that works for each screen sizes? Any plugins to help me achieve this? Should I switch to html and css to create responsive designs? I will be thankful for your guidance.

I can’t find my Ipad (9th gen, 2160 x 1620 px) as a prototype device. When I use Figma mirror (my designs are created 2160 x 1620 px), I can see them on my ipad perfectly, as they should be. But I can’t on my computer (preview), what is the way my client will see and critique it. Is there any way to still do this without scaling all my designs? Thank you

Its sometimes hard to make these forums posts useful because Figma changes happen randomly with no warning, sometimes its hard to clock exactly what the change has been because they’re so subtle, sometimes it appears to be a bug but is actually just a deliberate change. Its also impossible to go back and check how things worked in previous version - which can make it hard to describe exactly what the problem is. You eventually get used to these changes but still feel you’ve been slowed down for no real reason - and forum posts go unreplied to. Latest thing is the way that rearranging (via drag and drop) works in auto layout. Theres something ‘smoother’ and less ‘clicky’ about it - its harder to see exactly where an element is going to land when you’re rearranging, the blue line that denotes that seems to only appear when you’re moving it with its parent frame and not from one frame to another. When I try to open a shared project or an old project, I only see a dark grey background. Also, when I open a new project, the same dark grey background appears. What should I do?

The client has created an interactive presentation as a prototype in Figma. This prototype is currently shared using Figma’s free plan. The client wants to share a direct link to this prototype with various people. Is there a limit on the number of people who can access the prototype via the link? Will there be any additional charges for each person accessing the prototype?

When I drag a PDF file into FigJam, it used to work quickly. Now, a pop-up asks for the source of the PDF (e.g., Miro, Lucid, etc.) every time, which significantly slows down my workflow and is very frustrating. Is this a temporary data insight collection or will this remain in FigJam?

Hi everyone, We have designed our sales deck in Figma. Since each Frame consists of many shapes and vector graphics, it would simply not make sense to directly export the Frames as PDFs. Aside from that, the direct PDF export has issues rendering fades and other styles in the PDFs making a direct export unsuitable. Below I share on our approach and thinking, but as this is very complicated, I would love to get your recommendations on how to set it up in the most-effective way. To us, it is also important that we have a small file size and still high resolution. Transforming all graphics and backgrounds to png for each of the slides would be the perfect solution, but is simply too time-consuming to deal with. Approach: Export all Frames as PNG with high resolution (I chose 3x) Convert all PNGs to PDFs using any tool of your choice, e.g. png2pdf.com Apply OCR to PDFs, e.g. with PDF durchsuchbar machen. I accidentally deleted a team in my Figma account, which contains important files. Unfortunately, I did not receive any confirmation email regarding the deletion. Could you please help me restore the deleted team and the associated files? Additionally, could you resend the confirmation email related to this deletion? These files are critical for our ongoing projects, and I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide to recover them.

I have created a video component that initially show play button in middle and upon clicking on it the pause button appears which slides to the bottom corner of the video while playing the video simultaneously. When the video completes it goes to the initial state of the icon which is play button… For this I’ve set the delay as per the length of the video But the problem I’m currently facing is that, if the user pause the video in between and then play it the delay timer does not work properly. It only happens on some occasions (for example, when editing comments). If the accent mark is used (for me, the Spanish accent mark, meaning this symbol “á é í ó ú”), the text cursor moves to the end of the text, and the user continues typing from there without realizing it. They must manually reposition the cursor (and delete the extra text they unintentionally wrote). It is annoying. It’s not serious, but it should work correctly.

We’ve encountered an issue where fetch requests made from our plugin to our API are setting the Origin header to null , therefore our API calls from our Figma plugin to our servers are failing with CORS error and its blocking us from adding important features to our plugin. Besides the CORS error, this behavior has also raised security concerns, particularly regarding potential CSRF vulnerabilities. Could you please provide guidance on the following: Is this Origin: null behavior expected when making API requests from Figma plugins? What is the recommended approach for securely communicating with our backend API from a plugin? Are there any specific CORS configurations, alternative communication mechanisms, or plugin configurations that we can use so we can set the request origin to a specific value other than null? Has anyone ever encountered issues with Figma where components aren’t updating across different files? Despite making changes in the master component, the updates aren’t reflected in other instances. What to do now??
