Hello everyone. I have some prototyping problem…so… I’m trying to prototype header text with sections below. What I did is I made text component with 2 variants. Variant 1 is hover state and Variant 2 is colored changed text. Essentially there is same text in 3 different colours. I prototyped “White text” to hover version: (“White text”-Whine hovering-Change to-“Light gray text”)…and it worked perfect. Then I prototyped “White text” to clicked version: (‘‘White text’’-On click-Change to-“Yellow text”)…but there’s a problem, it’s not working. I don’t know what am I doing wrong but I want my header text to change color from white to yellow every time I click on it…ex.(When I click on “Download” section it should turn only that text into yellow colour and scroll down to that section. After I click on “About” section it should turn only that text to yellow and scroll to that section). Scrolling function works fine by the way 🙂

Please why is my prototyping preview turning off by itself. Sometime I see black boxes appears on the prototype present screen. What do I do

Hej guys, I have a set of icons, they’re in a main component as variants. All variants have the exact same settings, but still resizing leads to different restults. This also effects the instances, which makes them kind of unusable in other components. I tried literally everything I could think of or found using the search, I tried using groups, frames, auto-layout, all the different auto layout settings, adding strokes, editing the vector, and and and… nothing helps. I’m desperate. This also happens when I throw two scaling/not scaling icons into one variant – one scales fine, the other one refuses to do so 😦

I am a beginner to Figma and when I tried to do auto layout for a button it’s not getting the result and not responsive …so can anyone help me out …!!!

Hi, does anyone know how to split a large template into A4 pages?

I have been encountering the following issue. I have been copying over a frame from one of my Figma Files. Inside the frame you will find image elements as well as text or other graphical elements. I inspect what is stored in the clipboard and make it accessible on a web platform. If I paste it back into my files everything works well. But whenever someone else pastes the content from the clipboard into their Figma all the images are gone. Is there any workaround for this (e.g. by embedding the images differently?) or is this an issue that was never fixxed. Side Note: I am aware of other topics with this issue but no proper answer can be found in any of those.

Hello everyone, Hope I will not bother you all with my question. I have to do a Card Swipe for my project. I have follow so many tutorials on Youtube but it still doesn’t work. I hope I will be able to correctly describe what I’ve done. (Sorry for all the language mistakes, you know French people …) The main technique i’ve found was to create 3 frame. The middle one has the image A, the side two has both the image B. They are all the exact same size, and at the exact same place on the frame. The text and the image are surronded by a square (just to look like a simple card), and they are grouped together. When you grab the card A (middle one) to the left, it should turn blue, and then disappear. To do so, i’ve put a blue A card on my left frame, but outside the real frame, it’s a part of it, but not visible. This left frame contains the next card (image B), let’s call it #FrameBl. Hi Everyone, I am trying to have a collapsible bottom navigation bar. The collapse works as expected when it is a top navigation bar or a menu item on left side. It looks like the collapse seems to work correctly only if it is on the left side or the top, but not on the right or bottom. Good day guys. I’m new to Figma and lately I’ve been working on a project. After finishing with the design I continue to prototype, but there is a particular frame I’ve been trying to reconnect to the main frame. Is like clicking on the logo in the header so that the website can reload back to top. But it’s not working. Each time I try to connect the logo to the frame, it’ll go to a precise rectangle inside the main frame.

I have two questions. The first one is regarding the changes that have been made to this account. I had upgraded to the new version and it has disappeared. The second one, which goes together with the first one, is that I can’t access Figma AI when I used to be able to. And I don’t know if it’s because I have the account as an educator. Hello Figma supports and Figma enthusiasts alike, I have utilised Figma variables to come up with a technique to “lock” cherrypicked nested properties of a nested component. It’s not really locked, but gives the user a very strong indication that it should not be tampered with. Because Figma (still don’t) allow users to cherrypick what properties to show from a nested component. This technique relies heavily on the “Instance Property Preview”-view from UI2 - but I can’t seem to find the same view in UI3. Is this a UI3 bug, an oversight or simply me not being able to find my way around the new UI3? Nonetheless, for the curious mind, here is a step-by-step guide to the technique (or see the attached image): Create a component (CompA), having a variant property with values “enabled” and “disabled” Create a sub-component (CompB) with the exact same properties, except also having a text property. I can see old post on this topic, but nothing recently, so I’m hoping good news might be out there. I’m reluctantly switching from Jamboard as it’s about to be shut down. I’m an educator (with an education Figma account), but work with multiple organisations, as well as events where delegates are from different education providers. The use-case I need is for my collaborative documents to be: ‘public’ and ‘anyone can edit’. Jamboard and the other Google tools are brilliant for this. Google has pointed to Figma as Jamboard’s natural replacement. If anyone can help me out, I’d be very grateful. Thank you.

I am experiencing issues when exporting PDFs. When exporting all slides as a PDF, the first page is either not included, or the background becomes purple.

I bought Figma professional 2 days back and paid for 1 year, and I moved my past projects to the teams. Today I got email saying there are 25 user seat got upgraded. How can they not inform me in advance about it. I removed access of all of them immediately. I don’t know how can Figma be so unprofessional , or rather using their market monopolist to cheat on us. I am not going to pay 25*$15 = $375.

Hi, I’ve created a component (an dialog) that contains a instance slot section where the designer using this component is able to swap this instance slot to another component. It works, but I with some of the components I get the following error message “components can’t contain instances of themself” a have tried changing the name on the component without any luck, does anyone know how this can be solved or what the issue is?

why am i not receiving login link mail from Figma in my outlook account? I even contacted the figmasupport mail id, but thier response was " i need to buy their premium subscription in order for them to solve my issue personally, since im on free subscription, i am supposed to ask the community and find the solution" so here i am, guys, that was my work Figma account and all my design files are in it and im unable to login, everytime i try it shows a message that a link has been sent, but there isnt any mail , i checked everywhere on outlook. I am trying to publish my plug in and keep getting an issue with the manifest. I have added all the information needed for the plugin such as the cover, name, details, etc. I am also using the id Figma provided. Manifest Error Expected ‘,’ or ‘}’ after property value in JSON at position 145 (line 8 column 3) I have this written for the id: “id”: “1410307423662651413”, json isnt likeing the “:” for some reason.

I’m trying to match Gmail’s bright blue action button color using Material 3, specifically as the P-40 shade in the generated palette. I’ve tried colors like #4285F4 and #6AB7FF, but the P-40 shade isn’t light enough or still looks too saturated. How can I adjust the base color to achieve a light, vibrant blue like Gmail’s button color at the P-40 level?

Hi! I am currently building my portfolio in Figma Slides. I’ve found my way to include a basic navigation, adding buttons with links to different slides. It works perfectly on desktop app, but on mobile browser some links take me to completely random slides 🥺 Any help? Happy to share screenshots with Figma team

I am in the process of designing an automatic timer but the when I am prototyping the Interactions panel doesn’t display the conditional settings.

I’ve added two people as viewers to a project. One of the people has the “Shared Projects” section in the sidebar, but the other does not. Any way to get that to be visible? This is a thread talking about getting rid of it. How do you get it to be visible?
