Where is “send backward” and “bring forward”? Can’t see those options anywhere in the right click context menu. Only two options are “Send to back” and “Bring to front”. Using keyboard shortcuts is not an option. Where can I find these two commands?

Dear Figma community, As the title suggests, I am hoping this is not the first time this issue is raised. If anything, I’d be surprised if this wasn’t being thought out at all. How do you deal with situations where you have multiple overlapping / conflicting tokens / variables? What utility or plugins that allow you to “override”, “swap” or “merge” conflicting variables. I “sort of” know that the only way to overcome is to gruellingly detach any suspecting components, use the “destroyer” plugin, and/or manually sift and sort through each and every individual variable by name (whilst manually “hunting” them by eye alone, which gets triggered by which state and which is not ~ all relying on memory alone). Suggestions appreciated. Andrew.

In our team we have a separate file for all text styles and variables. We made some additions to the file and need to publish new variables, but now we realize that 3 text styles were removed by mistake 2 months ago. Right now we have to uncheck all the removed styles when publishing, in order to not lose them in our working files. Restoring to the 2 months file version of course will give us back the 3 removed styles, but we will lose all the work done since then. Is there any way to restore these 3 text styles, while still having the current file version?

Hi all,I was charged for an extra design seat recently which I did not expect. For added info, I am on a professional team plan.This happened when I was backing up files that I had worked on from another team. I did so by making a duplicate of the Figma file and transferred it to my account. What I didn’t realise was this somehow created an extra design seat automatically for the owner of the file. I only realised after I was billed.(Yes I did receive a reminder email before I was charged, but I did not open it as I wrongly assumed the same number of seats to be billed.)This is upsetting because there was no indication that the duplicate action would cause this to happen. I read elsewhere that I should have probably saved it as a .fig file instead, but that sounds like an unnecessary added step.Is there someway to improve on this, for e.g. I could have been shown a toast or notification with this information?

We are a team of programmers and graphics designers that are all hoping to be able to utilize Figma so that our Front End GUI team will be able to pass along React ready layouts and code to our senior developers. What is the best method to do this. We have spent the past week or so with creating a ‘project’. A simple inventory control page for example, but there seems to be a lot of options in regard to what plugin or system is best to switch it to react code. Have people been able to just utilize the inhouse Figma to Code as best results or is it best to utilize a 3rd party. I would really like some input. I’ve seen online about using : Anima I saw a board posting here in this forum from a company called : ‘Copy Cat Team’ for their software and I saw a video that utilized : DhiWise software plug in Since we are right at the beginning of 10 large projects, I really want to get this right the first time. as Figma is becoming our single source for design - we are now using it for doing Power point presentations from Figma - the problem is it’s still impossible to export directly to slides without a a pluggin like pitch deck - i think it’s time to have your team have a simple export button to google slides - and also an imports slides option - this would give us the ability to work with our clients that requirer a standard PPT/ Slides presentation huge demand.

Hello, I'm a beginner in Figma, and I have a couple of questions that might seem simple, but I need some help:How can I display the top toolbar? I can't find the "Create Multiple Components" option in other toolbars or windows. I can’t switch between components by their names.I've attached two pictures: the first is my Figma workspace, and the second is from the lecture I'm studying. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi folks,I have two Figma accounts: a professional one (A) and a personal one (B).Currently, when I open Figma in my browser, my personal account (B) loads by default.Is there a way to set my professional account (A) as the default when opening Figma?

Hi 👋 Using variables for setting fonts are cool and helps our design system a lot. But is there any way to set bound variables for text properties via Plugin API? It’s complex read-only property and simple setBoundVariable() does not work. We don’t have known methods like setBoundVariableForFont(). Can we wait for Plugin API to support typography variables any time soon? List of properties I can’t manage to set: fontFamily, letterSpacing, fontSize, paragraphSpacing, paragraphIndent, fontWeight, lineHeight and unexpectedly stroke for sections 😀

I have a list of currency names in a text block, and I want to make just one of them, like “EUR,” act as a clickable link in a prototype. However, the entire text block is currently linked as one. Is there a way to link only the individual currency name without having to place each currency in a separate text frame?

Hi Community! When exporting PDF files the color changes to grey when importing it to Pandadoc. Do you know why this happens? It starting doing this since a couple of weeks now. When I import an older PDF export from Figma in Pandadoc i don’t have this issue. See screenshot:

I am having an issue where if you have a table layout with each cell containing a component with a “hover” state showing a pop up, the top most layer works just fine but anything below it, shows the layer set to “first” or up front within the layers panel. I need the hover to work for all if possible. If not, I will have to only showcase one field working in this manner for the prototype.Any help would be greatly appreciated! Top most layer hover card:Second hover card where the top most layer appears up front.Thanks!

HI there ! When i want to add variant to a component or want to create a component set, padding of the box is 200 px 😐 i try to set as default setting in edit menu but it doesn’t work for component set size and every time i add a variant to component set everything changes like pic blow. any solution?

Hi community, this is my first topic. I often use Auto Layout with components. These components have variants that change dimension upon an interaction, such as clicking on an element in order to expand it into a larger element. Generally this just works. However, when I nest components with Auto Layout within a parent component, the Auto Layout spacing no longer responds to changed dimensions that result from the child component interactions, and the child components in the Auto Layout overlap with one another. Is this a limitation of Figma, or is there a way to make this work? Thank you for your time!

So … I have merged a branch and noticed something went wrong (probably kept a change I should not have). Consequently I reverted said branch (aka restored an earlier version in the history of my master file).How do I restore my "merged" branch to try and merge it again? Online it said, that this is impossible. Are all the changes completely lost now? In my case those are luckily small and I can redo them rather quickly, however I do find it a bit worrying …Should I ever have some big changes in a branch it would mean completely redoing them if I am not mistaken? This does not really build trust in the system if I am being very honest 😅 

Conditional prototyping used to allow us to IF statement - allow to set multiple variables ( var1=”A” && var2=”A”) THEN (set variable) - change variable (var1=”B” && var2=”B”) ☝️ This doesn’t seem to be supported in the new UI. You can only explicitly declare 1 variable What happened to 2.1, is this no longer supported? Or is there a new work around with the new UI?  Ideally, I want to be able to change multiple variable’s value from a click condition. This used to be possible in the previous UI because we can write the script. What am I missing? 🙆‍♂️ 

Hey Guys, I’m quite new to figma (about a week in)As you can see in the video, I’m presenting the hovering smart animation for my google button, how can i make it so that when it animates to the bigger version of itself, it animates in a centered manner if that makes sense. I’ve tried looking everywhere on figma if theres like a setting but ive probably missed it. Is there any way i can animate the button in the centre. Thanksgoogle drive video

Hello, for me it’s seems like a bug, but maybe I’m doing something wrong?I’m choosing few elements so I can move them together inside the grid,however, sometimes like in this case, these elements gets duplicated,however all I did was move them around, I did not copied them. Thanks!   

Hi Figma Community,I have used File 1 to build the Figma Variables.and published it for the rest of the project to used.At File 1, it show up.Once I published, at File 2,the Dark Mode V1 / Light Mode / Dark Mode V2 selection did not show up. It still like this Is there a solution to this?
