Hi,I’m preparing specs in Figma Desktop (v125.4.9) for a Button component with 180 variants (sizes, states, colors, etc.).I remember being able to Alt-drag the component (on Mac) or use an "Insert all variants" option, which would instantly place all variant instances on the canvas.Now when I Alt-drag, it duplicates the entire component, not instances.Was this feature removed or moved?Is there any plugin or workaround to insert all variants at once?Manually placing 180 variants isn’t practical. Any tips appreciated!

Hi everyone,I’ve been facing an issue with exporting images from Figma. When I export them, they appear in high resolution, but after downloading, the JPG or PNG file becomes long and stretched. The image also appears blurry when zoomed in. Even after uploading it to Behance, the issue persists with the image appearing stretched and blurry.However, when I open the same image in Photoshop, it appears clear. But when I export it again from Photoshop, the image reverts to being stretched and blurry.Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

I’m teaching one of my UX classes online this summer, and since the class is asynchronous I made a Figjam board with some icebreaker exercises on it.I want to leave it open for a week, not 24 hours- and I definitely won’t remember to start an open session every 24 hours for a week.I don’t really want to invite students to join any of my projects, because I have between 30-200 students per semester and things get crazy quickly. Is there a way to give them edit access to a single Figjam file for a week? (I’m on an educational license. Most of the students will have created an educational account, but some folks always lag behind and haven’t done it by the first week of class.) 

Hello everyone, I’m having some issues with Figma Slides when trying to present both in presenter and audience view. In particular, the “smart animate” slides transition doesn’t work in the audience view but seems to work fine in the presenter view. I already tried to restart the presentation, open it in the app and on different browsers, I just can’t find a way to make it work. It’s driving me crazy, I’d 100% prefer to not view the smart animations in the presenter view rather than in the audience view.Do you have suggestions for solving this? It’s for my graduation presentation, I need to use 2 screens, one external for the audience view and my macbook screen for reading the notes in the presenter view:(

I have tried to do this with booleans and appearance but I can’t seem to get it working. Basically if the user clicks item 1 I want the item 1 to be marked as per the right image and swap the header to show the score increase of 757. Thanks

The fonts I stalled became unavailable in Figma after I restarted my laptop. However they are still installed in my computer, just I can’t use them in Figma - Can anyone help with this situation? Thanks.

I've created a simple interactive component. A dropdown that's closed by default, opens on click, and should close again when clicked a second time. It works as expected within the same Figma file where I built it, but when I copy it into another Figma file, in to a frame, only part of the interaction works: the dropdown opens on click, but it doesn’t close on the second click.If anyone has any insight or suggestions, I'd really appreciate the help!

Hi Figma team!I’m on a Professional plan with a Full seat, and I’m eager to start experimenting with Figma Make. I’ve read that Make began rolling out on 7 May 2025 and is included on all paid Full seats, provided AI features are turned on for the team.Could you please let me know: The intro page notes that Make is rolling out to paid Full seats “over the coming weeks.” Is there a more specific timeframe (e.g., number of weeks or a target month) for Professional-plan customers like me? Is there a way to gain early access—such as joining a beta program or another method—before it reaches my account automatically? I’d love to start testing Make on some internal prototypes.Thanks in advance! —looking forward to building with Make!

Hi everyone,I’m running into a little issue with nested components and was hoping someone here might have a solution or workaround.I’ve made an Icon component with two variants:filled: no (outlined) filled: yes (filled)This icon is used inside a Button component, which has multiple variants for interaction states like default, hover, and active.Here’s what I’m trying to do:Show the outlined icon in the default state Show the filled icon in the hover state Show the filled icon in the active stateThe problem is:When I change the icon variant in one button state, it changes across all the button states. It seems like Figma is treating the nested icon as the same instance in all button variants, so I can’t set a different icon for each state.I’d love to keep everything component-based and avoid detaching or duplicating the icon for each variant, but right now that feels like the only option.I made a figma file for clarificationHas anyone dealt with this before or found a clean workaround?T

Dear Figma Support Team,I am reaching out regarding unexpected seat adjustments that have appeared in our billing section. While no payment has been taken yet, we noticed that our next invoice includes the following charges:4 Design seat adjustments – $480 1 FigJam seat adjustment – $30It seems that additional annual seats were mistakenly added to our account, converting our existing monthly seats to annual billing. This was unintentional, and we do not wish to proceed with these charges.We would like to request the removal of these additional seat adjustments before the next invoice is processed, to ensure we are only charged for our intended plan.Additionally, we found that other users have faced similar issues, as discussed in this forum thread. I have a native Android and iOS app, and we’re trying to set up deep linking for both via our main domain. Deep linking is a mechanism for launching an app using a URL. Does Figma Site support this?

hey there.we switched from Pro to Organisation. Then created teams for each client and moved our files.Access in teams is set to ‘Everyone in >Organisation Name<’.The problem, however, is that not all files are visible to the team members—only a few are shown. When we then add the user to the team, all files suddenly appear. But that doesn’t make sense if the access is set to ‘>Everyone in this organization<’, does it? Question is:Shouldn’t all team members be able to see all files if they are part of the organization? Currently, they can see the teams, but they only see the files if they are explicitly invited.

Context:  Developer with some limited design chops, developing a desktop/workstation app (not based on web technologies) from a finished Figma design created by professional designers.  Currently working on architecting our app’s UI framework and our workflow for translating design to development. Goal:  Create a UI framework for our app based on stitching together and overlaying images, with the application managing the layout of child components.  The app does not need to dynamically resize or maximize the window, past having a few different sizes to choose from (100%/200%/whatever).  It does need to render quickly and look and behave exactly the same on every platform.  Some of you may find this questionable, but trust me when I say that it’s completely standard and normal in my highly niche industry. The initial problem was that  exporting images still contained not just the background, but also all child components in it.  So I upgraded to a full seat, which allows me to hide chil

I recently upgraded my plan to Pro. I tried adding a few of my team to a project, but I’ve been asked to pay for a seat before they can edit the file I created. Is this how the pro plan works?

As you can see from this picture, every single spot that should have an image is empty and is instead save as an upside down swatch, but it’s not actually applied to it.I suppose this has to do with how figma applies images as fills rather than treating them as images.If I open the SVG in my browser it looks fine, but if I can’t import it into illustrator then I can’t really do much of anything with this
