Is anyone else experiencing that Figma is acting very sluggish?
Checking the memory, it’s not using that much and I don’t have very large files.

It lags when I hold down spacebar and move around, it lags when going from one page to another, it lags when I perform various tasks such as export components to SVG.

In general, it lags a lot.

Hey @Steven6, thanks for reaching out—I understand how frustrating it can be when Figma feels slow. To get a clearer picture, could you provide some more details about the issue?

  • Does this happen in both the desktop app and the browser, or just one of them?
  • Have you tried clearing your cache? Here are the steps for the desktop app: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040528973-My-files-are-not-opening#id.
  • Are there specific files where you notice the lag, or does it happen across all your files?
  • Is there any noticeable difference when you try Figma on another device or network?
  • Have you recently updated your operating system?

These details will help me narrow down the cause and find a solution for you!

  • I only use the application and it occurs both on my work computer and home computer.
  • Yes, I did this on Friday, but today (Monday) it’s still lagging. Especially when I switch from one page to another and move around using Space + mouse down.
  • Across all files
  • No, same lag at home and at work on two different computers
  • Yes, it’s up to date

Someone from the support team will be in touch with you shortly, but please note that due to an increased volume of requests, there might be a slight delay.
