Copy fame between variable Modes

Hello everyone,

I've set the variable Modes for the typography font size in my Figma file. This allows me to set whether the font should be used for Desktop Mode or Mobile Mode under Appearance. Like here https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/15343816063383-Modes-for-variables

This works very well if, for example, I copy a screen for Desktop and change it to Mobile.

Now, my problem: When I copy a group or frame from Desktop and then paste it into the Mobile screen, the font size doesn't change, even though the Appearance is set. CMD+Shift+V doesn't work either.

Does anyone have any ideas? I can reset the mode, but that can't be the solution.

Are you font size vars set alongside the screensize? I’ve setup a quick test as follows and it works fine.
 

When I copy the group from desktop frame and paste it into the Mobile frame (second line) it automatically resizes it in accordance with the variable set chosen by the frame.

Yes, i did the same. But i know the difference:
 

It just doesn't work if I have a text style. But only if it's a group. Interesting!
