hi folks

i have come to many problems lately with memory management. and all of that related to total layers count

so lets imagine you create a simple empty file in Figma, it starts with 3 layers!!!

oddly when you add your first text it becomes 4 layers!!

But the funny thing is when you paste another text layer (without any style or so) from another Figma file, it will become 6 layers!!!

whats the logic behind that?

my main concern is that when I’m creating a huge design system with dozen layers and different components, the memory usage and total layers its a little bit high in my opinion.

can someone explain the theory behind this?
